Weekly Feedback - 2/28 - 3/11ish
Will be edited as I go through this session. Feedback regarding current gameplay:
Gathering Spawns Rarity Levels
The way rarity is determined in the current gathering nodes sucks. I can't think of a better way to say it than that. The fact that people can camp nodes, set a timer, have a bot log in to gather a legendary mat over and over again...that kills the gathering gameplay, rewards people who run bots, and skews the availability of high rarity materials. Fixing this system needs to be a higher priority than it currently is.
I'm sure you have plenty of ideas thrown at you for how to fix the gathering rarity system, but here's one:
Randomize the gathering node rarities, BUT when a legendary is found it creates a zone (mark it visually with sparkles or something) where the chance to gather higher rarity items is increased for an hour.
That would create interesting PvP encounters while maintaining a more randomized gathering experience and reducing the ability of bot hordes to hoard legendaries.
Gathering XP
If it is intended that people can pursue the artisan system to level, then gathering xp needs to be boosted. It's reasonable at the lowest levels, but does not scale.
Also, I think the stretch in gathering xp between apprentice to jm could be longer and from jm to master longer still. The time it takes to get to jm and then to master should be longer than it currently is.
Gathering Stations
The cost of gathering artisan stations is too high. They bring in no income so there is no advantage to the node (other than being able to gather) for having them built and maintained. They either need additional perks or reduced costs or combined with other tables.
Guild Tools
Please save our guild leaders' sanity and give us a guild bank with access based on guild rank. They need more tools to manage our guilds, create alliances, etc.
Character Models
I haven't mentioned this in previous feedback, but it feels like it's time - the character creator is pretty limited. I trust that this is being worked on. The tools that are in the current model have a ton of potential, but the actual options are very limited. PLEASE let me create pretty female characters. Give me options. Please please.
Spring!
Absolute kudos to the transition from winter to spring! It looked so cool to see the world slowly go through that change. It felt immersive and really satisfying. I also like the icons for daytime and season with the visual timer.
Rogue
The people are getting restless. Get rogue released. Seriously.
Hide Helm
Minor request, but please allow us to hide our helms.
Night Time Lighting
I think the night time lighting is a lot better than it had been. It's not hurting my eyes nearly as much.
Snowdrop Rarity
Please improve the visual distinction between regular and high rarity snowdrops.

Movement Issues
I'm not sure if it's lag or something else, but this week I'm seeing movement issues - when I turn or move forward the movement extends longer than I held the key for. This is when using WASD.
Leveling After the Horde
The experience of leveling after the horde of characters are done is abysmal. It's painful, isolating, and makes a person want to quit. For those who have started an alt or a character after the initial rush to level cap is done, or those whose life has interfered with their gaming...this is a bad experience.
What would help:
- Improvements to the questing system - if someone can pursue questing as a solo-ish experience, that would be helpful.
- Improved event marking. Give us a warning before an event spawns so we can get to it. Figure out a reasonable traveling distance, calculate the time it takes to travel, and give us a countdown.

- alliance or topic-based chats that players can create

- clickable names
