Click Launch game>Anti cheat splash screen>Black screen>crash to desktop

I get the anti cheat splash screen, black screen then desktop. I have updated drivers, repaired, and cleared both caches/sessions.
EDIT: also just uninstalled/REinstalled game
Update: followed this off of known issues: "If your game is crashing on a black screen immediately after pressing Launch Game, you likely need to update/reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Visit Microsoft's website and install the X64 version for Windows 10/11." Did the update, gonna try a reinstall *crosses fingers* miss you Verra

If you are having the same issue this worked for me, deleting the entire %localappdata% for AOC. It is located here;
C:\Users\(yourusername)AppData\Local\AOC

Thanks for providing your solution! I was actually running into the same thing for several days now, and that worked for me!

In case it's helpful for anyone from Intrepid who might read this, I tried downloading the C++ Redistributable as described in the "Known Issues" but that didn't work. I also tried to run a Repair, Reinstall, Uninstall and Install, and messed with my GPU settings before I gave up and decided to wait for this next patch (even though the issue started at a random time, and not immediately after the last patch). It initially started happening maybe 5 days ago, and it was after I had already played for a while the previous day on the same patch
