Merch idea

ok, so hear me out... I know games these days don't come with guide books, we have the internet to get all of our information, but, there are going to be so many in depth systems in this game and servers will evolve differently, which got me thinking. What if there was an Ashes of Creation guide book with a twist?
This book could cover everything you need to know on how all of the systems work, how and when you will be able to interact with said systems as well as things like what different crafting resources there are in the game, what lvl gathering is required to gather said resources, and the types of environments/ areas you can expect to find said resources (such as near water, in the mountains ect...)
This book could also be a great place to expand on the main story in game lore, or character backstories? Maybe cover the lore of all of the dungeons and poi's... but not give any info on mechanics, where they are located or how to unlock them ( gotta leave stuff to discovery).
Could also have some DnD campaigns people could use to interact with the world in a different way ( either in game or out... I haven't really played DnD, so not sure how exactly that could work, but could be really cool for RPers).
Now for the twist... this book could come with a Yr worth of monthly journaling pages, with prompts so people could record there unique game experience, on there unique servers. If the book was made with rings where you could add additional pages as needed and note taking pages (maybe dry erase) so people could keep track of specific info such as how such and such boss works.... or their main crafting info that is needed in the stage they are in, I think it would be really neat.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there, i personally prefer taking physical notes and having a physical guide book, i actually miss that games don't make them anymore, and was curious how others felt about this, or what other cool ideas people would have, for if they decided to come out with a book like this.

This is an awesome idea, and I completely agree that a physical Ashes of Creation guidebook could be something truly unique, especially with the twist you're suggesting.
📖 Why an Ashes of Creation Guidebook Would Be Special
Unlike traditional MMOs, Ashes is built around player-driven mechanics, meaning no two servers will evolve the same way. A static guidebook would quickly become outdated, but a modular, expandable book with journal pages for personal tracking? Now that’s next-level.
🔹 What Could Be Included?
✅ Deep System Guides – Cover nodes, economy, crafting, PvP mechanics, and more.
✅ Resource & Gathering Index – What materials exist, their rarity, and where they typically spawn.
✅ Lore & Story Expansions – Deeper backgrounds on races, gods, and key figures without spoiling in-game discoveries.
✅ Dungeon & POI Backstories – Not a walkthrough, but rich lore explanations of why these places matter in Verra.
✅ Modular Add-Ons – A binder or ring-style format where players can add new pages over time as metas and game updates evolve.
✅ DnD & RP Elements – Official tabletop campaigns or server-specific RP tools to bridge Ashes into a TTRPG experience.
✅ Personal Progress Tracker – A journal section with monthly prompts where players can record their journey, alliances, conquests, and strategies.
🔹 The Twist: A Living Chronicle
This wouldn’t just be a guidebook, but a living record of a player’s experience in Verra. Since every server evolves differently, this would allow players to document their unique story in a way that digital wikis never could.
🔥 When Should This Release?
Right now, with so much still changing in Alpha, it wouldn’t make sense. But at launch? Absolutely. Maybe even with annual expansion pages to keep it updated.
💡 Final Thought: Could This Be a Kickstarter Idea?
A collector’s edition guidebook with customizable pages could be a huge hit for the Ashes community. I’d be all in for something like this! 🚀
Would love to hear if others would actually buy something like this—I know I would!
