Positives
1. I was struck today by how pretty the water in game is. Really well done on the visuals with it.
2. I really enjoy the aggro mechanic with bears where they stand up and can see farther. It makes sense, it gives you a sense of peril if you hang around too long near them, and it makes you pay attention to what's going on. Mechanics like this for other mobs would be cool.
Things that need addressed
1. XP for gathering. I am at grand master in herbalism. If it is intended that gathering should be a viable way to get XP, it needs serious work. I am receiving Herbalist Experience, but not regular XP. I've died twice in the last two days and have lost about the same amount of XP it took me to go from Master to Grand Master. Needs a ton of work to make this make sense.
Thoughts & Suggestions
Most of these are already on your to-do lists, I'm sure, but some things that would be neat:
2. Weather-based gatherables/events. The weather in game probably needs some kind of "weather report" icon so we can figure out how the various weather visuals are being registered by the game. But in other games, I've really really enjoyed weather & time-of-day based gatherables and events.
3. Housewares - When they come into the game, containers and housewares with these elements would be neat: containers/furniture that you can put other items inside (like book shelves or cupboards that you can put vases, awards, etc. in); candles that you can turn on and off to show a flame or not; bathroom and kitchen furniture & equipment - things that make a space feel like a real building; chairs you can sit in, beds you can sleep in. If you're looking for inspiration, Palia's house building is excellent.
