Character Creator Phase III

Please, for the love of tiny angry grems, give us a robust character creator for Phase III. I want to make so many pretty characters, and I need much better creator options to do that.

Haha yes, I think we’d all love a super detailed character creator. I’m right there with you! But honestly, would you rather have a beautiful character in a buggy game or a stable game where your character might not have the perfect cheekbones yet?

It makes more sense for Intrepid to focus first on gameplay, performance, and core systems like nodes and combat. Once that’s solid, they can polish the character creator without risking bigger issues.

That said, I really hope by Phase III we get both. A smooth game and the tools to make our dream characters.

Haha, I support this idea.
By the way, I don’t understand why Asian studios always make sure their character creation is excellent. Meanwhile, here in the West, studios always leave that part for later, even though it's the first impression we get of the game. Before even entering the world, it’s the connection with the game’s universe, and it’s either neglected or rushed. What a shame.

Also, I remember a video where they said this character creator would be as good as, if not better than, BDO... We're far from that.

I don't disagree with you on priorities, for the most part. However, with phase III anticipated to last at least a year (quite easily more than that) I think some attention to the aesthetics of characters we're playing is warranted. We see our characters more than anything else. Bugs can be fixed as we go, but there is a certain amount of "locked in" that happens once you've made a character that you're expecting to play for possibly years.
I get what you're saying though.

Was watching a friend's screen last night over discord, and saw that my long-haired, light-brown skinned blonde character showed as a bald, dark-brown skinned character instead.

LOL

Will need to see if it happens each time, or just for certain people/occurrences.
