A storage issue and proposed storage management solution

I decided to post this here. It's part of a larger feedback I have but I felt I might as well post this here and now.
Problem: cannot convert Glint inside of Storage.
1. Take a stack of any Glint (except max tier) and put it inside the storage.
2. Right click the stack of Glint inside the storage to convert it to a next tier Glint
---> It is put inside the inventory instead of converting
Why is this a problem: People accumulate many tiers of Glint during their leveling. It is put inside storage for later. At some point you will have to convert it all! To do this, one has to:
-Remove all Glint from storage and place into the inventory;
-Close the storage window;
-Convert all Glint;
-Reopen storage;
-Place all Glint back inside.
This is horrible. It's a problem with the current inventory management system. But the storage problem extends beyond just Glint, it applies to all resources / items that need to be managed.
Suggestion: Multi-select & Right click submenus on items. Just like in Eve-Online or your PC Operating system. The power of right click submenus with multiselect is VAST!
Why?: Because it is the most effective system for transferring and managing items. The game is so heavily tied to resources and has so many items, of so many different types and qualities, all of which fill your inventory and storage quickly. You are frequently having to manage them, which is fine! That's part of the fun - storing and categorizing them. What isn't fun is when managing inventory is tedious and cumbersome and unnecessarily time consuming.
Submenus allow for a right click submenu on items, instead of the current behavior of shifting them between storage and inventory, which can only be done one at a time. With submenus you can discreetly add valuable tools:
- Select all of type (Droppings for example. Than those can be dragged & dropped between storage tabs if a player only wishes to move those, or between storage and inventory. Or any other windows such as vendors, for another form of easy multi-selling)
- Stack all items / Stack Selection (partial stacks are a frequent issue in both storage and inventory, a stack option solves this easily)
- Convert / Upgrade (For Glint stacks either in inventory or Storage. It would convert any selected full stack(s) of Glint to it's next tier. Or for whatever item gets added in the future that has a convert feature)
- Delete (In conjunction with multi-select would allow for mass deletion of trash items! Which is SUCH a blessing compared to the current one at a time method, all of which ask you for confirmation!)
- Move to Storage / Inventory (When used in conjunction with multiselect, it is another way to move large amounts of various items between storage types. However, an added layer of specificity can be added. For example: Option to move from inventory to a specific storage tab. So the menu layout would be Move to -> Storage #1 / Storage #2 / etc.
- Sort by (type, quality, size, etc. - this is a big one. Currently all items have to be manually sorted and moved, one by one, in order to make space in the inventory or storage. During gameplay, often inventory gaps appear between materials and / or have odd arrangements that don't allow other items to automatically enter storage due to the grid arrangement system. Auto sorting with a filter removes the current tedious bag management issue to make space for new items. Also very useful for sorting storage tabs)
And anything else can be added that would be useful inside of the context of the game you want to have. It opens up the possibility of implementing storage management tools easily and effectively without intruding on the UI.
NOTE: To avoid it interfering with the current right click = equip or use system. Have submenus be a secondary layer on top of that, so in order to override the current right click system, you would hold down a hotkey, CTRL for example, than right click the item(s) and a submenu opens.
Multi-Select suggestion: One hotkey, ex. CTRL, for selecting multiple items individually. Or two, ex. CTRL & SHIFT, for selecting all items between the first and last selected.
Submenu impact on Glint problem in storage: Say you have many full and partial stacks of Dull Glint and / or other tiers in Storage or Inventory, and all have to get upgraded. With submenus, the operation would be:
If you only want some Dull Glint to get converted, you can do the same procedure on only those stacks instead. The option could even be added to Convert -> Condense, this would take all Glint selected and automatically calculate the highest achievable tier Glint possible for that selection. It would solve the issue of having to manually click through a lot of various Glint stacks, and various tiers to finally get the most condensed form (highest tier). I'd argue that there is no gameplay value in having to deal with managing the current Glint situation manually.
Additionally, for guilds or individuals storing and managing many materials for their crafting empire, it is essential that they have a strong toolset to do so! Tools like the ones I suggested are, in my opinion, a must. Especially multi-select.
Other solution: Implement only multiselect and have whatever tools are deemed useful (Stack, Convert (for Glint, etc), Sort) be buttons that appear statically or dynamically inside the window (storage, inventory, etc). This way you still are able to add inventory management tools, but at the expense of possibly adding more clutter to the UI and / or having limited space for adding more tool buttons.
- Minor addition since it makes sense to add it here: add resizable inventory and storage windows -
EDIT: Threw together a visual example of what I mean. Multi select highlight + menu. You can add those as buttons too, but I think there is no need to make a visual example of that
Example:
CTRL + Right Click = Menu
CTRL + Left click = Individual item selection
Shift + Left click = Select all items between first and last selection

As someone who spent a substantial amount of time gathering, to pass on resources to processors and crafters, I find the storage system really rudimentary, and still buggy. We are still waiting for a guild warehouse too. I'm still waiting for a whole container of heroic - epic and leg mats to reappear in my warehouse..../s
Inventory management experience is pretty bad. You continue to play Tetris with mats, because nothing stacks together. Storage persistence remains an issue, with items disappearing from it. Has the storage disappearance after losing the citizenship been fixed yet?
