Black screen for 5 seconds then crashing on launch game

As the title states, after a long arduous launcher install (something is definitely going on there as well) when i launch the game it goes through the easy anti-cheat but then i get a black screen. After about 5 seconds the screen goes away back to desktop / launcher. I've tried every fix i could find online. added all the programs i could allowing through my firewall, firewall isnt even on, drivers are up to date, have the updated redist ++, it's running as administrator, and I definitely meet the requirements to run the game. I've never played the game before, yesterday was the first time i purchased it and then tried to play it, so the save files arent there for me to delete as another possible fix i've found online.
