Game Gifting

Hello Everyone!
Recently we've had a discussion within the Shol community, and we were talking about the possibility of gifting the game and we thought that would be a nice addition.
Now as of my personal experience within years of gaming and running my guild in different games throughout the years. Sometimes some of my members have financial struggles where they cant afford to buy the game as much as they would like to buy it. It would be nice to gift them the game since they do want to join but due to the TOS that makes it a bit hard.
As one of the terms are the following (in a simplified version):
accounts cannot be shared between people and people shouldnt be sharing their usernames and passwords.
So, it would be nice to have a way to gift the game to people we know. And my personal suggestion would be:
- Email based gifting.
as such method is safer to everyone, easier to everyone and it doesn't really break any TOS. while we can also enjoy the game with our friends, guild members and family who cannot buy afford to buy the game.
Others in within the community had different suggestions and they were viable suggestions too.
It would be nice to know what could be done in that regard and what can we do about such thing to help grow our community and the game's community even further.
Thank You!
- Yours Truly

If Intrepid set up a means for players to be able to pay each other's subscriptions without breaking the ToS, it turns Ashes in to a pay to win game. This is also why there will not even be a means of gifting store bought cosmetics.
Hard no on this one.
Could you just send them the cash with an agreement to spend it on an Ashes key?
Right now, the safest way is probably waiting to see if they add something official later on.
Their stance is absolutely stupid to me.
But just a quick note from someone who's been following the project closely: Ashes of Creation started as a community-funded game. Every Alpha key out there today represents someone who helped support the project during its development, not just a preorder, but part of a long-term commitment to help it grow.
Because of that, Intrepid has been pretty cautious with gifting. It's not just about access, it's about maintaining the integrity of the fundraising campaign that got the game off the ground. They’ve said it might change in the future, but right now we’re still pretty early.
Hopefully once the game moves past Alpha and into more public phases, we'll see more flexibility with things like gifting. Just wanted to offer that context in case it helps! 🙏
