Ranged combat crashes.
Since monday my game has started crashing instantly as soon as i toggle ranged auto attack weapon. I dont need a target, im not even in combat, but as soon as i select my ranged weapon, right to desktop. Ive tried repairing, reinstalling, uninstalling then installing fresh. No luck. I dont think there was a patch sunday night and it was fine all weekend, no issues. Any ideas?

Does it depend on the weapon? Have you tried using a different one?
Delete Local Config Files: Sometimes corrupted user settings or cache files can cause crashes. Try deleting (or backing up and then deleting) the game’s config or cache folders, usually found under C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\AoC or similar.
Check GPU Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are fully up to date. If they already are, sometimes doing a clean install of the drivers using the manufacturer’s tool (like NVIDIA’s clean install option) can help.
Disable Overlays: Disable any overlays like Discord, NVIDIA GeForce Experience, or Steam overlay, as they can occasionally conflict with certain inputs or UI changes.
Switch to Melee First: As a short-term workaround, you could try entering the game with your melee weapon equipped, and only switch to ranged once in a safe zone or after performing a specific action (just in case it’s tied to the initial equip state).
Submit a Bug Report: If it started happening suddenly and consistently after Monday, it could be related to a backend or client-side change. Submitting a bug report via the launcher or the support page can help the team track it down faster.
