Is Under-water Gathering Intended?

Given the currents and the spawn of things underwater. I want to ensure that this is intended and if so, what things are not intended to go with it?

For example, the current moving you while you are trying to gather/mine it.

My hope is to better understand what is a bug and what is not for better assistance in reporting issues

Yeah... I suppose it would be nice to have something rocks on a rope to help us stay anchored, or some equipment that counters the flow of water, would be helpful to gathering where currents are flowing. Maybe potions of water breathing and current resistance?

Great question Chibi. While I would guess the minable nodes in the Tropics are on purpose, should I be bug reporting the date palm at the bottom of the ocean south of Azmaran?
