When a boss defeats the players

Do you think there should be consequences when a group loses to a boss? I think it’d be interesting if the boss actually reacted, like sending minions after the players, attacking a nearby node, reinforcing its dungeon with stronger guards and traps, or even powering up after the players demise.
I’d love to see bosses take revenge. If a party wipes or retreats, the boss shouldn’t just sit there like nothing happened. It just makes sense to me that it would improve the dungeons defenses, gain some stats improvement or send a retaliatory force to strike back at the players' node. No powerful being would be assaulted and just let the player slide in it's lair without some kind of response.
Maybe if the boss gets stronger, the loot drops chance could improve slightly, adds some risk and reward for players who want to challenge it again.
Do not worry if the boss wins many times in a row and become overpowered, players will always find a way to kill it and this is why pve is boring, at least with boss responses we can spice up things a little.

PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

Since you can never know, this doesn't work, no matter how cool it is.
Good and sharp thought into the future. Because if we are honest we know exactly that this is true. There will be the either One-alone or up to let's say "Three" Maximum-Elite Guilds at most on every Server - one some Servers maybe up to Five Guilds or more,
who are simply said so strong and abundant in reliable and powerful Members, that they can use Tactics like this. Or even "defend" World Bosses from other Players by staying Guard nearby and attacking everyone who tries to get the Boss

I am in the guildless Guild so to say, lol. But i won't give up. I will find my fitting Guild "one Day".
A guildmate tried to PUG the latest TL content, content that explicitly buffs the players every time they fail up to 10x.
They spent 2h, the group disbanded without succeeding. This is a person who pushed their Gearscore requirement to the level of the content just to try it, but who also self-identifies as very close to 'Dumbass Casual' DPS ("Idk I just hit things" - guildmate, on multiple occasions).
From the sound of it, the whole vanguard was basically like that.
I don't care if those people cause the ruination of the world, but they care, and there are others who care, and will definitely make the entire game-space negative for those people.
