There needs to be a logging system for trades between players
in Artisanship
When two players trade, especially when one person transfers a lot of resources to another player, there needs to be a log created so that there is a record of this transaction. Some players are 100% gathering. Once they fill up their inventory, they will then donate these resources to someone else in the guild (i.e., a central point of contact) who will then distribute them to processors. If there is any question later on about what was donated, this information could be pulled back up.
There is currently no easy system for logging who gave what. The only solution is to enter all the items manually into a spreadsheet (which is extremely cumbersome and time consuming), or to take a quick screen grab of the trade window and use that as a record. Both of these systems rely on the players to remember and to manually do these steps. Some type of automated system would really help.
When guild banks are put into the game, perhaps there is a system where players can donate to it without having to go through the guild bank manager(s). A log would then be created that the guild managers could access to show who donated what. These guild managers would be the only players with withdrawal access to the guild bank.
Finally, having a logging system would settle any disagreements between players on if/when something was given or received. This is true for buying/selling outside of the player merchant vendor.
