Node system - A background simulator ?

I read about your "nodes" with great interest.

Sounds very similar in concept to Elite Dangerous' Background Simulator https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/193064-A-Guide-to-Minor-Factions-and-the-Background-Sim
I just wonder if it's sufficiently different to warrant a claim regarding
"The Node System is one of the core systems that sets our game apart from every other game on the market"
Having said this, I love the idea of the node system. As with Elite Dangerous, it should make for some exceptionally emergent and compelling game play (though in reality, it doesn't always meet that target in E:D).

We feel after our node system is discussed in greater detail through our future blog posts, you will feel similarly that it is significantly different than their background simulator. It truly is a unique system that sets our game apart from every other MMO on the market.
