Archtype Vibe Check
The Archetype I find the most fun to play is the Fighter. The fighter is severely underrated by many players, but I think it is very important to the game; I love the skills provided, and the shout buff in particular lends a big assist to the entire party, and staggers opponents. I like the attack method required to survive this character type. Perhaps its due to being in the martial arts, but to me it's a good balance between melee and magic required. I do also enjoy mage and have dabbled in the Ranger archetype. I do know, bard, and cleric are not really for me.
I find the least favorite so far to currently be the bard. I do see its potential, but I kept finding myself completely lost with how it should be played. I could learn the techniques, however; I prefer Fighter.
A mechanical fix I would like to see is when switching back and forth between keyboard combat functions and clicking with the mouse, that the skill boxes stay locked into place, so no accidental click and dragging occurs. Have it locked into place unless you hit the letter (k) to change things around. This lock not being in place has certainly led to difficulties and character death.
During combat, I would like to see a bit stronger heal return from fighting than currently in place, and the ability to break free better or at all from the holding skills of other archetypes needs to be stronger, but overall, I love my fighter. Like I mentioned, I have dabbled in other archetypes, but hands down I love the fighter and what it adds to npc and group fighting.
