Can Pylons just be Arcane Engineer and be general rather than gathering specific?
I think it would be better if Pylons were just generalized for all gathering in the AOE. Their AOE is too small and overall, just underwhelming. It seems silly to put one down, for example, for trees and you aren't also benefiting for the stone around the trees or any other gatherable in the area.
If you want Pylons to be different to have different resource sinks, you can have one pylon that increases luck, one that increases speed or one increases quantity or something. It seems silly to have them essentially be a gathering craft but under the Arcane Engineer profession and can only be crafted by the level of the gathering ability not the level of arcane engineering.
Extra Tidbit: I was also thinking, if you wanted to go the PvX route. You could make pylons put down a PVP zone like they have in POIs and it increases Quantity, Luck, and Speed of gathering (For EVERYONE in the zone) for a risk/reward mechanic.
