Racial Armour Styles - to which armours are they applied?

So I'm not sure, how this works exactly. Do armour visual style changes depending on your character race? Some sets seem to look the same on all races ( at least SB sets for example), others seem to have more unique style?
I have noticed that for example Vek's armour style which was present on the Rividium Heavy armour from P2, now is present on some lvl 10 gear. Also some elfish and human sets look unique to me.
Do we know whatever amour sets will look different depending who equips them?
Also, do we know if we ever get a transmog system, and be able to apply different armour style to our gear?

This is something that I have been dead set against in all games, but Steaven has talked about how it was something he loved in Lineage 2 more than a few times.
I think it would only not apply to armours that have a "bespoke" enough look that the race would not flavor it.
I also would be very amazed if an elf could wear the dwarf style of the same Armor. I am pretty sure that the Dwarf stuff would only fit the Dwarf models. Infact I would not expect the two flavors of dwarves to be able to transmog each other's stuff.

Why is unique armour styles for races a bad thing for you?
I mean i like how ESO does it, they have a racial MAT that you can craft the gear as any style - this would be a way better option that would work well here.
But at the same time, its better then everyone rocking the same style.
Development time and inconsistent transmog.
The way Lineage 2 did it and the way I am very sure Intrepid is doing it. It takes more time per race to add each armor and you can't choose to wear another races shit.
One armor set is nine times the amount of work for the Dev's... Well maybe 18 times with genders?
I would have be happy with just two that all races could wear.
I would rather just have it the way ESO did it where I can learn to craft a appearance and the rest is just stats.

I think ESO has the best interpretation of this, i get the development time, however it outweighs it in the end with the added detail.
@MargaretKrohn @StevenSharif - definitely worth discussing with the team and even trialling it for community feedback.
From what I understand it is a ship that sailed years ago. I remember them discussing this on some video and they are committed to the bit. They know it takes more time and its more models per appearance, but that is what they want.
Also, from what I understand the art assets and models are far ahead of the other teams in terms of production. One example would be they were showing the "Covid Castigator" armor off in a live stream before Alpha 1. That armor is not in the game yet. There are lots of examples of assets we have seen finished that are not in the game yet.
I have kind of come to accept that picking my race is just going to be an extremely hard decision because I am going to be locked into an aesthetic with it.
