User Interface - Why WOW is so good?

As a veteran of the genre, I can point out a serious omission in the interface compared to WoW. The game currently doesn't offer the ability to bind ALT+7 or CTRL+7 (the spell on the toolbar). When I press ALT or CTRL, only this key can be used without any combination. Blizzard knows how to create interfaces. I have to admit, I've only seen a UI masterpiece like Blizzard's in RIFT – and you know why? Because they copied it, and that was the best thing that could have happened to that game.

The second issue is the lack of MACROS. In WoW and RIFT, I could create macros that detected enemy or friendly targets. In the case of an enemy, a given key meant an attack, and in the case of a friendly target, the same key meant healing.

An MMO isn't just about graphics and story. What will most determine your success is enabling solo and casual players to reach the endgame – it's simple, because there are more of them. It doesn't have to be a quick process, but if players sense they can't achieve anything even with hard and consistent play, they'll leave, like they do with any MMO trying to capture customer dollars. What's the percentage of hardcore players compared to people who love MMOs but can't play 8 hours a day?

Creating a good interface is a very difficult task, because only two games have one: WoW and RIFT. New World also has a good one, but it requires little skill and doesn't require macros. Join this group. Create macros and enable ALT+KEY or CTRL+KEY bindings.

    I know it's alpha. I have spent $100, because I believe in this project. My comment is just to remind the creators what is important in the game. Look at all of these game UI's - they were designed by people who have no idea absolutely about anything.

    BLIZZARD is an answer - copy it!

    Rofl, which is why every time I go back to WoW every few years after the memory of the pain fades, I have 14-15 "essential" mods I have to add. Including Elvui which has millions of download count. Intrepid will get there eventually and have promised robust UI and layout options, essentially tailor it as you like. That they are more focused on base systems and mechanics to make the game actually run right now like dynamic gridding, vassalization, archetype and crafting changes vs QOL "give me shiny buttons and macros to make the game automated" My bet is macroing is eventually nerfed into the group here after some initial problems with /follow and the bot behavior that has already been detected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1vlqJm3Q7o

    Why play with macros? It's just making another system play the game for you, and then what's the point?

    If this was true.

    Addons and Macros would not exist, and I would not need to spend time setting them up every time I play wow.

    I am totally honest here. They should just steal the Structure and looks of WoW. (lol)

    Just steal how you can freely put any Task/Ability Bar everywhere you want. And have them Upside down like Chinese Scripture or from left to right or right to left whatever. >:)

    There are a few things WoW just makes absolutely right. And i can't see why Ashes shouldn't do it as well.

    It's not about re-inventing something. It's only about Freedom to make your U.I. more freely how you want. How could this be bad ?

    WoW did have some good options with add ons but it got to the point you needed add ons to play the game. The add ons got so good Blizzard started turning the raids to the use of add ons.

    Myself I loved being able to change the UI, chat interface and other things that help you feel at home with the UI. I would not mind adds ons hitting Ashes but not anything that adds to combat in any way. It does add allot more policing. It's up to IS how they want to deal with this, right down to a big fat no. IMO adds ons wrecked WoW IMO.

    When i tell People :
    - A.) why WoW is not yet either destroyed or "dead" - simply because it doesn't have an actually good and decent Competitor and Rival,

    OR :
    - B.) why WoW had some bad - and dominant Word here is " BAAAAAAAAD " turns for the Worse - > since the Start of Battle for Azerite - and that all of these Turns were only made because of :

    - Trump Derangement Syndrome,
    from Orange Sir Donald Trump winning against Hillary Clinton in 2016 in the US-presidential Election,

    AND because after the End of the Expansion Legion - > Blizzard "NORTH" apparently closed it's Gates and handed WoW over to Blizzard "SOUTH" in Commiefornia < - - > (Yes, "Commie"fornia ^.^),
