Мeaning the social component doesn't work.

Not all profession clothing provides bonuses to Strength.
1) This is why players don't play on a base character, but on twin characters, because you can craft clothing for professions without Strength on a twin character.
Basic players only collect clothing for crafting with Strength.
2) The problem is that someone in the game might want to privately message you about trading, for example, but they can't because you're gathering resources on a twin character, meaning the social component doesn't work.

The Social part of the game is ment for gathers, crafter to work together. Pick 2 gather 2 Crafting skills, work with others to get what you need, and offer what you have in exchange. I do not think they intended for people to work around that using alts. The full time crafter in town should get more work and trades than the guy on an doing another craft or gathering. Pvping or pveing full time ..Working as intended...

I'm sure they did. I think this is why the limited the character count to 5. Sure you can just about craft everything yourself with your alts, but that will be a hard earned luxury.
I hope when the trading features, like stores, kiosks, auctions houses are in attaining materials get a little better.

I don't really understand what you mean. You say the social component doesn't work, but how so? Because people are on alts? Okay, but is that big problem? I have no idea what you mean about the Strength, base character, twin character, and basic player.
There's a trade channel, there'll be stores, stalls/kiosks/auction houses later (if not already in). Spamming global or trade is pretty standard, but I'd rather rely on other features to buy and sell materials.
Also wouldn't you be picking your artisan types based of guild needs? If you're guild isn't organized it's going to be rough. But maybe I missed your point.
