[Suggestion] Side Events for Unassigned Players in Sieges

Currently, the lists of participants are maintained by certain players, which is perfectly understandable.
However, there are also quite a few people who cannot join these teams (due to missing connections, gear, or other reasons) but would still like to support and participate.

The proposal is to add additional activities around the main area, where random players could also join. Since anyone would be able to participate, the results of these activities should only slightly affect the main battle — for example, by granting small buffs to the main teams or creating additional support structures.

To take part in such an event, a player would need to quickly reach the area where the new event has spawned and talk to an NPC to register on either the attacker or defender side. After a 5-minute waiting period, the event would begin, and the team that completes its objectives faster would win rewards to support either the attackers or defenders.
The same mechanism should be applied to prevent players from entering the event zone if they did not manage to register in time. The number of participants in these side events is expected to be smaller — for example, around 40 vs 40 or even 24 vs 24 — to keep the battles more focused and manageable.

There could be more than one side event happening at the same time.
A player could also participate in multiple side events sequentially.
However, the number of events a player participates in would not affect their final reward.
There would be one shared goal for everyone and one overall reward at the end, which depends on the outcome of the siege.

Ideally, such events could be connected to the raid leader’s interface. When the time for an event arrives, the raid leader could choose the specific bonus or reward their team would receive if the event is successfully completed.

UPD: Once a player has participated on a specific side during a siege, they cannot switch to the opposing team in the following events of the same siege.

The current state of testing and the limits placed on it have nothing to do with the eventual siege mechanics that are planned. There is plenty for people to do in "support" of either side of a siege planned. The current mechanic of someone having control over a list of who gets to participate or not is not how it will eventually be. Please consult the wiki for what is intended vs current. And remember castle sieges have not even been tested yet. Those are guild focused. While settlement sieges are meant to be open world. The only people locked in as defenders currently are the settlements citizens. https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Sieges
