Patcher installing new on game type switch

Has anyone else had an issue where the patcher is no longer patching and is doing a full install every time I switch between AoC and PTR. It does patch if I log into the same as last time.
Install main AoC on one 250 GB drive.
Install PTR on a different 250 GB drive since there is not enough space to install both versions on one drive.
Now, when I launch the patcher and choose the version I want to log into, it asks what folder to install to. Then it acts as if it is going to do a full download and says there is not enough space on the drive. I have to delete the contents of that drive to install to and then it does a full install again.
Any ideas on how to get it to remember which drive is which version installed to?
