Where do i even start 😅 (I'll try keep it simple)
- Camera - there is not much/many options over the settings at all and i personally am struggling with how is set. At the moment using LMB, you can rotate the camera at will (look around) but acts/operates as free camera, while using RMB the camera is locked behind character, so moves along with the character when holding (RMB) or to change direction. I would like to see more options and if possible something like what i was used too (in gw2), there was the option for free camera as well as to change direction with mouse button, but (how i was used to play/how i had it set) » camera locked behind character so moves along with the character movement (movement still operates as camera being locked behind character, even if rotating camera with LMB to look around plus pressing w again in the direction the camera is facing while looking around/behind with LMB, will automatically rotate/invert character and instantly make/turn her to walk in the direction the camera is facing at) and pressing/hold LMB to rotate/look around, although when releasing (LMB) the camera would automatically/instantly relocate/reposition (rotate) itself to be again behind character (there were also 2 more movement key binds).
- Character creator - Still in a rough spot, needs love/attention; noticed that there were clearly some improvements but needs more, customization very limited/lacking; overall feels to be in a rudimentary state. I would like to see an option to recolour eyebrows, since there is none, the only way i found was over the facial hair aka beards/mustache; More tattoos/scars slots, 3 not enough, since its by section/body part (face/each arm/each leg/torso), i would say at least 11 more slots, i want to be able to put multiple and do layers. Couple more diverse face presets and hairstyles would be very much appreciated. The interface itself needs a rework, specially the sculpt one. Also few more Py'rai antlers options and an invert (opposite position) option for tattoos/scars would be nice. Still hope for some make up options. Some more hair/eyes colors please! There is still issues placing tattoos/scars…
- Mini map - it is bothering me so much… so in gw2 while placing the cursor over the mini map you could zoom in/out (the limit established to zoom in/out on the mini map) with the mouse wheel, here you cant… you could also by clicking and hold (LMB) move it a bit around/have a look at the surroundings. Both mini map and world map still look very pixelated when zooming all the way in.
- World map - cant place pings/markers over or even near the events/quests/commission circles. There could be an option to show the respective regions names, even maybe activate an highlight over the specific regions ( a lot in this game is a guess game aka brand newcomers have to guess/wonder what is what).
- Chat - a whisper tab should be default and to be more practical, just click (LMB) over the name in the chat to whisper back, plus an indicator of some sort be it turn the tab red/pinkish/purplish or maybe even the default diamond/rhombus 🔸 indicator when a new message sent (mainly when being on another tab). [in gw2 the letters of the designed tab would turn red and even had a sound notification] While scrolling up, could exist in the right bottom corner a pull back (to present/recent) button. Also show coin and sanctus scrip earnt/gained or lost over the chat. Combat tab could do with some work too, a bit more clarity needed, plus link of the skills used/hit with.
- Hide helmet/cape resets every time when login off. ~ me no likes
- When switching/changing target/s, option to allow weapon auto attack toggle to automatically/instantly retarget; also a way to click without untoggle (like a locked toggle as existed in gw2).
- Sometimes while just walking around, happens to take a bit of damage out of nowhere (absolutely nothing attacking me)…
- Some mobs appearing and immediately also disappearing vice versa (only few occasions had these type of encounters, one i recall is near joeva)
- When gliding mounts? I want to throw myself from cliffs without dying and i cant, plus i really like that artic prowler aka owlbear.
- Aoe skill ~ ground target field/placement (circle) - some tend to be quite hard to see because of certain terrain, need it to be (color) more intense/vivid which means noticeable/visible. (gw2 has a different cursor for those type of skills as well)
- Summoner - since is what i've been playing the most right now/at the moment, would like when switching summons (summon a different one that is) to automatically replace the respective 3 skills (the summon/spirit ones) in the pet action bar. Also the casting duration for some spells (void) are too long.
- performance wise not the greatest, first few days/week was kinda fine after since been a bit rough, constant freezes/lag/fps drops/hiccups whatever you wanna name/call it, no matter what settings i'm on. Side note, in the recommended system requirements tell us 16gb ram is supposedly fine, but i took notice that was hitting far beyond, going up from 19gb all the way reaching 23gb usage, luckily i actually got 32gb.
- Could there be an option when right click (a link as well) gear or a mount to preview the character with it on/or over (mounted) by opening a window and show us.
- why cant the sanctus scrip (gained/own) and reputation be account wide/bound, that is per realm (since the toons in the same realm are bound to the exact same settlement); same for the storage items. [i want to be able to give gear or even materials to another toon who might need it]
- Seasons/weather - so far have seen winter/spring/fall, summer not quite, said it was summer yet quickly turned fall (besides saying it was summer)… no rain, no rainbow, slight fog here and there.
- Why is there an horde of high level mobs surrounding most settlements in the Anvils/desert/tropics/jungle, when no such thing in the riverlands, doesn't make much sense.
- Griefing - certain 25 (max lvl) individuals decide to go to some of the most popular areas where people use to level up and start pulling mobs (clearly on purpose/intent) over those trying to level up what tends to provoke entire group/party wipes; my question is, isnt there a way to track such disruptive behavior and auto corrupt those practicing? Same for those botting and hacking (I've killed hackers before and absolutely would love to have a system that would track and set/mark them as corrupted, with more players onto them too) i do say it could be a good way to deal with such. For that i would very much like to see the bounty system coming live soon and so i would like to see as well the military settlements become a priority.
- when clicking a skill often (consecutively), the cursor seems to lock itself or get stuck in there and vanish from the screen, an issue that keeps happening. [might be a specific skill (from summoner, not certain/recall if did happen with other class)]
- Marketplace - 'Search by item' should be the default; there should exist as well a specific search category for each type of gear be it » heavy / medium / light and by each type of weapon too (feels too bare and tends to be difficult trying to find certain things if you dont recall the exact name), also there could be an option to specify the inbetween price you looking for.
- Leveling experience - one word abysmal… until level 10 not too bad, felt fine although some of the quests weren't very clear on what was supposed to do; after that, it wont take a month if it stays this way, it will take several months to level up; right now its a wave of people all getting into the game so the probability of finding groups to level up is reasonable, but what about of those who will arrive later, when there wont be as many still trying to level up… grinding mobs nonstop for hours to no end cant be it, cant be the only way or even the solution, its unacceptable. I do it for an hour and im already bored, its not fun, i do it because i feel myself forced to, so not exactly a pleasing experience or do i even feel that gratifying at all and leveling up should of provide us with a more satisfying experience not the opposite. Yes there is some few more quests and then the commissions, thing is when i die i get more xp debt than i actually manage to get any valuable amount of xp gained from a commission, which means, unironically i get more "rewarded" by dying than i actually get by doing a commission…
- Exploration - I feel we are hardly rewarded by exploring which is a shame, and i know there is the adventure commissions, but again the xp gained by those feels quite miserable to the point you question yourself why are you doing that, so… In gw2 you do get rewarded by exploring (and that is a solid good amount of xp), by discovering a new region, discovering a poi, discovering a waypoint, there were also vistas; so why cant we get something like that as well, we could get some good amount of xp by discovering pois, same for embersprings, regions/zones too, maybe even settlements. I would also like when discovering/entering a new region, there would be something like a small cutscene showing a portion of the view/landscape, introducing us to that new zone, telling us the name of such on the screen as well (similar to the vistas in gw2/assassin creed).
- Vendors not showing the nameplate color i chose tho:
- Collision is a nightmare, should only activate when pvp enable (also only regarding enemies not allies).
- Sport fishing - If i have a pole with line doesn't make much sense i gotta jump into the water to retrieve the fish back (such doesn't happen with afk fishing tho).
- Crafting/processing - Quite overwhelming, i find myself going back and forward, because i forget/missed something. Artisan window » when i learn a new recipe ,indicates me the respective crafting tab but doesn't tell me/show exactly which in there i've unlocked. Recipes already learnt should show/tell us exactly that.
- Markers - a lot of times people use them for party members, can we get one specific to target the enemy we want to focus please.
