So you fired the whole studio? Now we are just freefalling? Something tells me this is the end and they haven't told us yet lol. It was fun while it lasted thou. Who doesn't enjoy having to click through 25 people's storefronts to price an item. That's fun right? I LOVE it when someone spawns a mount in the middle of a pvp fight and I get corrupted. I can't even contain all the fun that was had putting a bunch of materials into crates to store it and finding out its all gone!
Game is totally fine with the bots taking over every sever too. What can they do? They can't do anything. That would mean moving forward in some sense of the word. Something this "game stuido" and I am using that term very loosely as I'm fairly positive "intrepid studios" was, has been and will always be, a couple of people in Steven's garage that have perfected the art of talking out their ass and praying on people's hope. Is there an actual office building somewhere? Because I can't find anything on google. Google maps shows the "headquarters" as a rundown building in SD that has "rent me" signs in the windows.
I think what we are witnessing is the end now. I'm guessing those 9 people were the entire operation. Just judging by any and I mean ANY work getting shipped. Nothing gets fixed, nothing gets added, and every update has been rolled back for the last week. Nothing is leaving the "studio" aka Steven's garage and ending up in ashes of creation. Not a single thing. If anyone would like to show me what has been added in the last month of daily updates I would be happy to take a look. When this is at the top center of your PTR patch notes:
- All new characters will start with rations.
- Character appearance at the character lobby menu and in-game character appearance are now identical. Options selected during character creation will display correctly.
- New idle animations have been added for each archetype.
I think you can just come out and say it. No one is there anymore. And the 9 people that were fired was the entire crew keeping ashes of creation at least semi-functional. But to be fair, that's easier to stomach than 250 people working on the game and nothing is added or fixed. I would love to see a payroll for intrepid studios, or taxes. Anything legitimate at all. Because I am 100% convinced the company doesn't exist. And once you begin to see it this way, all the dev updates, all the forum posts, all the discord news. It all starts making a whole lot more sense.
