Isn't this a class action lawsuit? Correct me if I'm wrong, but when people paid for Alpha packages, Ashes of Creation explicitly promised deliverables like cosmetics, Alpha/Beta access, and launch playtime. If those were framed as “included” or “guaranteed” in the purchase agreement and the game is canceled, abandoned, or those items are never delivered, that can constitute failure to deliver paid digital goods and a breach of consumer protection laws.
They really need to do some "Official" communication ASAP to either clarify or rectify.
Fact they launched on Steam in EA, the augment can be made IS did release the game. This was a hostile take over and the investor that setup the board, will want to earn the money back. We will see a new CEO that will look and see if the scope of the game and features can be shrunk to something they can release. There will be a dely if that happens. Or if Ashes is a lost cause. So we may still get Ashes but not anything Steven promised.
