Quests
I have no idea how the quests will be, but this is what I hope to see:
Voice acted quests that don't just give you a lot of text with an accept button below like WoW, because, I don't like reading. I hope that there will be a lot of short cinematics that make quests clear and also the lore, because I really do care about the combination of those 2.

even for the voice acting, I do not expect every quest to be told....I mean if you compare it to some other games like GTA V for example...just the story mode of GTA has more than 3500 pages of dialogues this is even more than all harry potter books together and I think the total amount of dialogues in AoC is not going to be that much less...it's just not realistic for an MMORPG to voice all of that....sadly :/
I imagine that most of the quest will be text only. This is just due to the massive financial cost and development time. It would need a lot of voice actors/actresses, sound technicians and implementation. Creating text based quests is easier and more affordable.
I would of course love everything to be voice acted with cinematic everywhere, but I also want the game to actually finish development past Alpha stage.
The developers are gamers themselves and I imagine they are all tired of generic quests. I imagine (and hope) that quests will have meaning. If I'm going to kill 6 goblins I want to actually have a believable story behind it. Why goblins? Where did they come from? Why can't the local guards handle it? Why are they attacking here and now?
There will always be "filler quests" that are there only to help you progress. Not every quest has a believable story behind them, but I hope they will try to make all quests important. The game is supposed to have action based development. This meaning what you choose during quests will impact you later on. I hope this is true for many quest. It would be amazing if you get special quest in end-game because you helped that poor farmer by paying for wheat seeds after the local tax collector robbed them blind. Thus securing their next harvest, helping them survive another season.
