Sea exploration?
my question is, though you have many vast nodes, what is your take on possible sailing boats to go out fishing further than just the shores, rivers and lakes, would there be possible ship combat too. ships could lay siege to a town/city they are attacking adding more strategy to sieges and defence.

Fishing as a skill or profession in a ton of games is dull. Imagine fishing up a sea monster.
Granted i have faith in the devs and we all have our input but only they know what they can do. Either way i look forward to what they can accomplish.
I would love to see something like that in this game too!

It isn't an expansive open world without it. Love this idea.
Maybe an Atlantis city?
I would love to see underwater dungeons and cities, huge and rare monsters that cannot be defeated by anyone who didn't discover some kind of a secret to defeating them etc The game must push you to discover it because it is amazing and hidden, not to google how to do it because you are bored
It would be nice to see the developers expand on what archeage has done, and push the water travel to rivers as well as open oceans and lakes, in real life, many cities are formed because of the locations access to shipping lanes, fresh water and food sources. It would really effect immersion to include these mechanics.

" The whole water scene is something I don't have the answer to yet. It is an entirely different scope of production and development that we won't be able to ascertain until after we see what type of interest Ashes can achieve in the coming months. "
So I won't be. Ship-on-ship combat (basically two, huge, multiple-operator siege engines, that can be invaded and pillaged) sounds really cool. But it also sounds like a lot of work. I dunno, AoC is already a pretty ambitious game.
So uh, we'll have to wait and sea if it there's room left for naval features. Such a novel pun, I know. ;)
Greez
but a node out on an island far away from the mainland would be awesome, and that there would be sea battles over the ships trade routes, just so red players get more to do, and you sometimes would have to hire an entire fleet to protect the cargo. would be Legendary. oh and also sea monsters that also could attack the fleets just to make it more risky but also a bit more profitable :)
Right?
That stuff was horrendously implemented.
