Node and Housing Based Auction Systems

Have you thought about creating a node base auction house that appears as a building at a certain stage of node development? Node based auction houses can be independent of auction houses in other nodes. Creating regional auction houses allows for expedited buying and selling but also adds some complexity to the global economics. It could facilitate traveling for buyers and sellers as it may be advantageous for sellers to list items in distant lands from where the item is common.

Due to the siege mechanic being able to reduce or destroy node development, some way to assure that players regain listed assets would be important. For instance, if the game has player storage (banking), you might be able to implement a way to list items directly from the player storage. If the node is destroyed or reduced to a point that the auction house is not available then you only need to take care of the listings rather than move items around.

It would also be cool if players could add a seller platform to houses built outside nodes. Smart players could build houses as supply shops for instance in remote areas where there is player traffic. They might sell potions or other goods that players need. It also would allow the opportunity for players to find items for sale that are not in the node based auction houses. A player might want to set up a chop that sells expensive and rare items in some isolated and remote area as a role playing idea.
