Race Design

Hey all, I'm new to the whole AoC and starting to learn more and more about it. I love a lot of what it's got so far, some really out of the box ideas!

I know there are a lot of people out there making a lot of great notes and inputs on what kind of races we could see in this. I am absolutely no expert on how to work something like that in a game [consider how to lay armor on different models, unique animations and movements, different combat motions, etc.]

Though it can be a lot of work, I would LOVE if the creators here would consider making sure the races they do decide on are at least different enough to be considered different. I don't know how many times we have seen the whole "everything is human physic or anatomy" copy out there. I think from some of the more successful MMORPGs, it would be great to see a take on some of the positives other games have made. Like WoW, how each race is different in their stance, their muscle anatomy, proportions, and more.

I think their concept artists have a lot they could work with, but if they could throw in some different models for the races, I think it would really help carry it along. Took me about 30 mins to come up with some crude silhouettes of what the basic differences could be. There's still A LOT more that can be made, and with given time I know a bunch of artists that could imagine up the detailing and depth a race could have. But what do you guys think?
