What are the lowest requirement to play it with no problems on a computer?

will you're computer need to have high quality gear for it to be playable quite smoothly?

Comments

  • We won't know that until the game is released.
  • From FAQ.
Q: The graphics look amazing! What engine are you using? How will I ever afford a computer that can play it?

A: We are using the Unreal 4 engine for development. Most of the artwork of the game is optimized to play on mid-range hardware made within the last six years. Additionally, we are exposing many optional settings which will improve performance on lower-than-minimum-specification hardware.
  • Which doesn't really answer anything.

Define "Mid-Range".... Everyone will have is own personal definition of what "Mid-Range" is.

6 years.... That's a really long time in the world of computers. What was new and top tier is pretty much at the bottom 6 years later. So "Mid-Range" now is something completely different then "Mid-Range" 6 years ago.

Only real piece of information is the use of UE4 but then again with their own proprietary coding in the back to mold it into the needs of a MMORPG game. We have no idea how much this will or will not influence performance of the game or how efficient they will actually code with UE4.

So in conclusion we have no idea how well this game will run on what hardware until further in development.
Anyone who says that he/she does know is either lying or trying to pass speculations as actual facts.
  • There have been some guess on the system requirements but its not official, guess we have to wait until the game's released
  • Personally I have a feeling that by the time this game is out, I hopefully would have upgraded my computer to be able to play it. At this current time I am highly aware that is can not.

Unless it is able to eventually be played on 'potato settings' but it is a LONG way before we find that out.

    If you think so :))
Just my opinion. All these questions about system requirements are useless.. They will say something, but almost never it's true.
Minimum req. ? Optimal req. ? For which settings ? How much FPS ? Is it full HD ? Ultra HD ? 4k ? I have optimal req. then my game will be run on the highest setting, with full shadows, in full HD ? Ofc not :)
Then players crying, coz' they have "optimal req." for game, but they can't run it in the highest setting + ultra hd on 60 fps. Ofc, coz' "optimal req." are not for highest setting and ultra hd...
If you wanna play in full hd + highest setting, then buy PC for 1000 + $. For someone who loves games is it not problem, right ? :)
  • FWIW, I have been playing XCOM 2 which uses the same Unreal 4 engine, on a 5 year -old Dell with a GPU instead of a high-end card and it plays very well indeed. I think it'll be worth a try.
  • I think i'll be fine for this game. My rig can run BDO just fine with 90-100+ FPS outside towns and 30-40ish FPS inside crowdy towns and at bosses.

    Samsung SSD(Can't remember what exactly)
some DDR4 16GB corsair ram (LOL! Can't remember the model name)
