Node Design.

WIll nodes be designed Structurally (that is the buildings and structures in them) to reflect their surrounding geology?
For example if Node A is in a desert will it be desert style architecture (that fits the fantasy of course) and then Node B is in a northern Mountainous area so it's more Norse/Viking style kinda stuff.

Also will the layout for each Node/town be the same or will different buildings and structures be in different places?
Example if Node A is built on flat ground and has an Inn and blacksmith shop across from each other will Node B have the same layout or can Node B be built on a Hillside and maybe have the inn being on top of the hill surrounding by other structures.

  • People holding political office within a node will have some say in what shops you will see if I'm remembering correctly. structurally tho they will reflect a design relative to the region.

Sometime this week we will get our first in game footage of a metropolis, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that! Besides being super exciting it will probably give you a better idea of how they will possibly be laid out.
  • You should check out their node part 1 video, it pretty much hints that there are different layouts for the nodes, since you simply cant build a node at the coast the same way it would on a flat and wide open terrain.

It was hinted at that there will racial differentiation in forms of asthetics for buildings inside a node so I think it is save to assume that there will be differentiation for geographical influence too. We already saw pictures of a desert like situated city as well as a completly different art set on a coast.
