Classes, Appearance and Skill system
Hey interpid studios, everyone,
I watched some of the videos that interpid studios uploaded on youtube and I noticed that everywhere there are female mage and male knight. I am sure that later on you will make it possible to create a male mage but I want to ask you whether you are going to make other classes. I personally like the most the priest class. That class who can heal allies, shield them and enhance their stats. I have always loved the priest class. It engages you to search for players in order to team up with them and complete your quests. And as I see that super amazingly beautiful world of wonderfulness which you have created I dream of being part of it as a priest. But even if you have no plans of creating new class that will no prevent me to be part of the your awesome wonderland. I am just asking whether you are considering it or not :)
Also, I wanted to ask if there is going to be chain skill system.
Lastly, is the equipment able to change your appearance? Everywhere the knight and sorceress are with the same clothes. They look really good, do not get me wrong. I am just wondering if my appearance is going to change as I progress in the game or it is going to be like Black Desert - level 1 = level 55 appearance.
Looking forward to playing this game :)
Hope I did not bored you with my long thread.

Take a look at this

Warrior
Tank
Rogue
Bard
Summoner
Cleric
Mage
Ranger
As far as I know they do not plan to make them gender/race locked (btw the races seem to be 2 types of humans, 2 types of Elves, orcs and Dwarfs with two more unanounced, but possible subtypes for orc and dwarfes)
These Classes can then be combined freely, example:
Main class (mostly defining your abilities): Tank
Sub class(augmenting your main class): Cleric
could lead to a paladin like class
ranger/mage might lead to an archer using elemental arrows and so on
@velish: necromancer was not announced but i could imagine that summoner/something could make it (maybe cleric as they deal with the deceased or maybe rouge if they are assasin like)
For Monk....maybe if barehanded fighting is possible and if you combine warrior and rouge, battle prowress+agility?

Q: How many classes are there?
A: We have a unique and detailed class system, which we will discuss further in a developer’s blog. For now, I can say that we have 8 archetypes. You will choose an archetype as your primary class that you will level from starting level to max level. Along the way, you will choose a secondary class from the 8 archetypes. That secondary class will augment your primary class’ abilities and skills. In total, our class system will have 64 distinct classes, of which there will be a wide variety of customization in skills and abilities based on the player’s choices.

Though nothing is written in stone, that is what they are leaning towards. Realistically until they put this information on the website, we don't know exactly what is going to be in store for us.
+ nice to see antipod to monk class (aka shadowmonk-"dark force user" and very disciplined "frontal" combatant(as normal monk)-wich like use poisons/ancien magic of "dark gods" with curses, leach attacks and mb illusion magic school).
