Un-Official Verra Monster Book

With the hippogryph lore adittion it come to my mind the idea of a Monster Book or Bestiary and that we can made it together, it's simple, we have to put:

Monster/Creep/Animal name (cientific names can be added but common names are preferable)

Length

Hostile/neutral/friendly/tameable

Habitat

A brief description from our own

A picture

Skull Crab
20-30cm from side o to side 50 with the legs extended
Neutral (it prefers fleeing, only fights back if it feels cornered)
Found mostly in swamps and caves with great humidity
It was believed time ago that these crab didn't have a shell of its own, so they look for human skulls for protection, it was later know, thanks to captivity study that the shell actually is shaped in form of a human skull, probably for camouflage purpose, the moss that sometimes grows in the skull is toxic and can be distilled in a powerful sleeping brew

Habitat: Ruins

During the Fall many attempts were made to combat the oncoming corruption, but none were as effective but controversial as the golem. The means to create new golems is all but lost, but from the little, we do know is that they were created by binding a living soul into a gemstone which was then placed into a body of stone or other unconventional materials. These new golems had enormous strength and could fight without ever tiring. Many warriors gave up their life willingly to be interred into these war construct to fight back the corruption.

Over time the minds of the hosts became to falter and become damaged, many still see them self back in the time of the fall and will fight anything as they see it as the corrupted beasts they once fought. There are still a few golems who have held on to their sanity and ally with the new returned people of verra to fight back the corruption once more.

Hiigth: The records cannot agree on a proper length, it's estimated that this creature can measure anything between 30 cm to 2.5 m
Disposition: Neutral - Hostile
Habitat: Deserts
The creature known as the dunima (sometimes called desert blood worm) is, with ease, one of the enigmas of the Verran fauna, living in a hostile environment such as the death dunes desert, it is not well understand how this creature manage to survives, not that the scholars haven't come with the most bold claimings.
Everything has being said about the dunima's life circle, from being a corpse eater, to sustain itself on the blood of unfortunate creatures that cross their path, to being capable of creating a vaccum with his mouth leaching water from the environment, one thing is sure, this rare worm can be sold, specifically it´s blood, for thousands of coins a little flask, one sip and the most fatal wound or disease can be cured in one or two days, if the taste doesn´t kill you first, if it´s maximized using herbs and healing waters from the famous moon oasis that the Vaelune keeps with zealotry, it has the power to grow back limbs, make a crippled man move again or being able to sustain a man's life for week without eating or drinking anything. It´s also used by the Vaelune priest and priestesses, along with racial techniques only they know to amplify their healing powers, an old story says that in the brink of defeat and annihilation by the enemy army, a priest used this sacred blood to cure the entire of the Vaelune army bringing a glorious victory to the desert people, a fairy tale for the most part...maybe...

The newcomers of Verra sought after the onions of divination to find answers about the new world.. With the portal opening and their magic only getting stronger, cultist have emerged chanting to the Sandal god for Leeks.. The god happy in his ways gave to his people these prized onions from time to time. The visions and information was addictive though and drove his people into madness.. When the Sandal god comes to be amongst his people all they can say is leek leek leek... The Sandal god knew this could not go on.. His people wanted more and more.. He devised a new way, summoning a market lead that held his precious leeks from his people. The new entity, though good, held back the Sandal god from corrupting his people with visions of the future. Cultist still to this day seek after these onions chanting leek leek leek

Habitat: Deep caves, golden mines
During the excavations of some of the mines in far mountains of the realm, the workers started to whisper about clicking noises during their shifts and amounts of cargo dissapearing during the nigth, of course bandits and smugglers where to blame and soldiers where sent to secure the values so the gold could keep flowin from the under ground, after some time the most extravagant of stories came to the ears of the officials and foremans, a gruop of soldiers and minners set various traps hoping to catch the ones that where stealing the nuggets, what a tremendous surprise they got when they discover a creature with a golden shell trying to reach one of the wagons, this insect like creature was seem to absorb the gold into its system purifing it and adding the metal in a nature way to its own body, sadly for this creatures, which would later be named "Gumpara", the miners later realized that they could kill them and extract the already procesed gold from their corpses without much effort, bringing these creatures to the brink of extinction.
realizing that this would make the gold extraction back to the pikes and wagons the minning guilds decided to consult with the verran ecology society for a solution, after a lot of research the ecology society came with a special oil to make the gold to fall from the gumpara shell without harming the creature, leaving the animal to go back to keep feeding.
Since then the Gumpara have become a very valuable resource, maybe more valuable than the gold it extracts from the mines.

Habitat: Dorvuncoro Jungle
The natives of the jungle often speak about an evil being that roams their land lurking for flesh and spirit alike, the beast is even revered as a god of the wild and from time to time the people of several villages leave some meat tribute in altars, way in the deep, believing that this will prevent the so called Dorvuncoro nightmare to attack due to hunger, few have seen the beast face to face and lived to tell the story, but I managed to track the sights to one retired adventurer who claim to be one of such survivors.
"Aye, a terrible sight indeed, but here's something interesting i can tell you, that monster has some way to paralyze you...with fear...it has this...lights on his head, that you cannot help but stare, its like some type of hypnosis, i myself managed to escape using all my will power to stab mi rigth side and start running"
It is believed by some that this beast is able to use some type of illusion using the natural light produced by the appendices over its head and that this illusion aims to produce fear in the victims mind, the few warriors of the villages who have gone hunting this living terror advise against trying it alone.
Curiously enough, the test to become "The Shadow" (the Dorvuncoran champion) its exactly that, hunt the nightmare alone and bring one of its "lights", this will become the central piece in an amulet representing the warrior's triumph over his or hers fears.

Habitat: Mountain Passes, Caverns and Subterranean Tulnar Habitats
The, by the returning Verrans named, Arglesian Thunderlizard are in actuallity the last remaining descendants of this species, and only have their overall bodyshape and the ability to generate electrizity in specialized organs in common with their ancestors.
After the cataclysm, a small number of the Thunderlizard population saved itself in the remote mountain passes and subterranean caves of the Tormatean Mountainrange.
After eons, their descendants evolved and specialized themselves to hunt in the constant gloom and slim tunnels of the underrealm.
They are one of the Apex predators in the Underrealm, they stun their victims with a sudden electric charge and then inject a fast acting numbing poison. This combination is most of the time a death verdict and they should be handled with care.

Name: Lilotton
Clasification: Critter
Higth: 30-45 cm long
Disposition: Friendly (tamable)
Habitat: Farms, forest and plains
One of the most common sees in Verra is that of lilottons running and jumping, these little and cute creatures are easily scared and can run very fast once they spot a predator or something catch their attention, there are farms that specialize in their breeding, since their fur is a very good material for common clothes and their meat is sweet and soft, they also serve as companions to some adventurers, specially those who hunt beasts, their good hearing and sight its a perfect match with a hunter ability to track animals.
There has been stories that once in a while a rare black breed of lilotton has been seen in the wilds, some talk about a history of a king that willingly yielded his castle in exchange a special dish prepared with a black lilloton's meat.

Though many raids have been attempted to pierce the heart of the corrupted lands most end in tragedy and with no survivors. There have been very few cases where these raiding parties have returned, yet when they do return they do they speak of horrifying beings beyond comrehention. of these monsters, none are as chilling as the Magnas

These type of monsters, should be for the latest levels in awsome zones.

Name: The Jade Sea Watcher
Classification: Mechanical Warden
Height: 2m
Disposition: Aggressive/highly territorial
Habitat: Coastal area of the Jade Sea and the Jade Sea Metropolis Ruin

Even though these beings may look like humanoid living and breathing creatures, they are in fact lifelike replicas of their ancient forerunners. Mechanical bodies inhabited by the spirits of fallen Watchers.
They once held the line against the corruption, but with the fall of the Jade Sea Metropolis, these once honorable warriors, became corrupted and now attack everything that breaks their line of sight.

Disposition: Hostile

Habitat: Battlegrounds and ruins

It crawled out of a nearby graveyard. This construct of bone and dead things tore up the earth to hoard the bones of the fallen. The Bone Collector scuttled onto our battlefield, drawn to the dying. Trundling over all obstacles, taking no sides, it gathered both elf and orc corpses. The jumbled mountain bones grew in strength and power. I had no choice but to order my orc battalions to attack it. Remarkably, the elves did the same. Our archers did little - for how effective is an arrow against a pile of bones?

What do you think happens to the leftovers after a battle? if enough time is given these undead will form and start to strip the lands clean, adding to themselves.
