Depending on the AI in the game not all <insert generic monster type here> need to be <insert monster trope here>. Hopefully we will see twists that make us pause and reconsider the usual "kill it with fire" solution we use to complete most mob quests.

Tolkien orcs are all evil. Nowadays we have games where you can play as one.

It would be interesting to see monster tropes not be adhered to - Example; Gem Dragons were introduced to D&D many years ago about the time Psionics were added to the rules. Dragons had been either good or evil aligned up to that point but gem dragons were generally neutrally aligned. This allowed the GM to add a twist to the story when players were given a dragon hunt quest.

The story behind the bronze dragon is really gruesome.
The dragon here consists mainly of bronze flesh (like bronze ore).
The main villain of the story has the ability to enhance cell growth (he can create tumors through "overhealing" someone for example).
After he and his followers captured the bronze dragon they turned him into a living mine, stripping his bronze flesh from his bones in an endless cicle of life and death.
This manga showed me the true brutality of what happens, if you think outside of the box and apply your knowledge right.
