  • Why do it have to be Tulnar. This could be said about any race. Tulnar are actualy in this world, while the others arrive there. So if you go by logic, they should be the first race

Tulnar were added in the kickstarter and so they are seen as an addition to the base game.

Lore wise, they are also returning to the surface the same as the other races, just through a different method. Just because they are technically still on Verra doesn't mean they would know to return to the surface before the others.

    You said:
Undead are not advanced. They are an extinct civilisation xD

Well, since they are dead, they are extinct. But since they are animated, they are part of a civilization.

    See, true both ways!

    @insomnia

    It isn't about that.

As has been said, it is about the fact that Tulnar are a kickstarter stretch goal, and Intrepid have stated outright that they may hold back on stretch goals from kickstarter if they are going to delay release.

The other races are not a part of kickstarter.

Also, other races are in pairs. There are two human sub-races, two dwarven sub-races etc. Much of the work for each race is appropriate to both races, not just one of them. This means that if Intrepid absolutely had to hold back on one race, they have three options.

First is to hold back on both versions of the other race (and so holding back two races). Second is to do all the work for both sub-races, but hold back on one. This would be pointless as the bulk of the work would still have to be done.

Third is to hold back on the Tulnar - which also happens to be the one that fits in to the category of content they have already blatantly stated they reserve the right to hold for releasing after launch if they so chose to do.

Looking at these actual facts and then making the claim in the above quote is actually childish.

    Grow up.

I still don’t get why people insist that it’ll be too hard to add Tulnar features later, when plenty of MMOs have done that exact thing successfully. They’ve been doing it for years. EQ did it with the Kunark expansion 20 freaking years ago with the Iksar race.

What’s next, insisting that planes can’t possibly fly since they don’t have feathers?

I'm indifferent to the discussion as long as there are Dwarves.
The small, stocky, stubborn lads are my go-to race in any high fantasy game that has them available as a playable race.

Orcs are a great second choice because who doesn't want to be a badarse Orc?!?!
Humans I deal with too much in real life. Perhaps my Dünir Cleric will just let all the humans die. >:)
And fru fru Elves, who needs 'em? Did I mention they're fru fru...

(By the way, autocorrect keeps wanting to turn Nagash into Natasha. Does it know something I don’t?)

It really isn't. The game is far from being released. There are proberly other content that can wait. Plus i can wait even longer for the release of the game. I'm in no rush

But going by your logic, these things should be removed first, as they where a later stretch goal:
    "Backer only mount barding"
    "backer only skill fx"
"in-depth economic performance metrics for commodities, trade routes wars and raids."
"allows players to invest in nodes, guilds and social organizations"
    These things where added later

I recall seeing in video the models of some of the tulnars. Those that are blacked out in the wiki. But i could remember wrong.

"a delayed game is eventually good but a rushed game is forever bad"
    - Shigeru Miyamoto

But again, i find this topic stupid. The game is far from being released. People are talking about 2021-2022, if even that
