Size Matters

Question. How will Intrepid keep account of guild member size? On Discord, it appears BOTs will count as members, according to moderator feedback about a month ago. This leads me to believe that sizes of guilds will be based on Discord membership? Please confirm. IF not, what is the mechanism by which Intrepid counts membership. Guild Leaders might want to know this when 'rightsizing' their guilds into intended small, medium, or large (max capacity) classification. Thanks.

The whole point of having the guild recruitment channels and whatnot is just for groups of players to coordinate what server they're going to play on and have a party to play the game with.
Some guilds don't even use discord, for example. There are other ways to communicate.
I imagine there will just be limits on guildsize in game.
Guilds in-game will be able to level up by doing quests and activities, which rewards them with guild points. They can spend that on different passives like increasing guild size or giving their members some sort of passive ability (10% bonus damage against Tulnar for example). Guilds will have a maximum achievable level and will also have a cap of 300 members (given all you invest in with guild points is guild size).
In addition to that, Guilds can join alliances of up to 3 guilds.
You can have thousands of members on your discord server, but in-game you're limited to a certain number, unless you take the route to unlock more space.
You can have sister guilds I imagine, if you have over the limit people.
But yeah. Discord in on itself has nothing to do with the AoC guilds.
Just as team-speak has nothing to do with the guilds, just as Skype has nothing to do with guilds.
You seem to be seriously confused.
Not to mention no way to monitor or enforce outside the game either. Go ahead try to figure out how many people are in my private hosted voice chat server running on a private vm
