When it comes to Ashes of Creation, as Steven stated, many of us are like beaten dogs from prior games.

I just want a western made quality mmo with unique features and smooth gameplay. Less cute and more standard medieval theme will be a huge bonus as well. Tired of the overly cute korean mmo's.

I want what Camelot unchain offered but could not deliver. Will settle with what AoC will offer and can hopefully deliver. The main difference for me is the gear system. AoC offers a lot more but I would trade all that to not have over powered gear drops in the game. Not going to happen so I will have to deal with it.

I'm always a bloomer, but lately <1hr of gameplay in modern mmo's makes me into a doomer lol

One is setting themselves up for disappointment and frustration who comes to a game in development placing all their hope for redemption from all the times they've been burned in other MMO's.

I'm hopeful this will be a fun experience. Hopeful enough, in fact, to shrug at a paywall to give it a fair shake. But I confess sometimes, when I hear what Steven says, it has the ring of "I got forked once so I'm not allowing that in my game." An almost crusading aspect to it. That's not encouraging.

But all the other things he propounds outweigh those brief moments. I would like to think I am old and wise enough to realize nothing will ever meet 100% of my expectations. I am ready to compromise; to give up one thing I like in order to have something else I desire.

What I am very uncertain of is which one of those ridiculous creatures in your cartoon that categorizes me as.

Was telling my friend about how I think AoC is good the other day. Naturally he brought up all of the times we have been let down in the past. AION, TERA, Darkfall, Wildstar, Crowfall (TBD), Archeage. I responded with "This is the last time for me, I am going down with the ship, If this game is a letdown, I am done with the genre".

So... "Broken Go-Getter?"

Broken Bloomer for sure; I think this is a last time for a lot of people concerning optimism towards new mmo's with promises. I truly hope it comes out and is a good medium between what the players and dev's want, but don't want to be too excited lest it not be what's promised.
