I've always enjoyed playing classes like Cleric/Priest in which you have very holy looking armor sets. Would be great to see a high tier armor for Clerics such as this, with their own religious flares based on what you pick:
One of the coolest things ESO did was creating monster sets. Monster sets are sets that drop from vet dungeons and essentially they look like helmet and a matching pauldron that were fashioned out of part of one of the boss's body, usually the head. What's especially cool is these sets give you lessor variation of one the abilities the boss has.
These sets use to have more of a significance in their appearance back before ESO introduced the outfit slot system in which you could cover any armor piece with a skin you could craft.
That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.
As I´m thinking about going sneaky sneaky archer/predator... Then i have to say i really like this set i have on my character on ESO. Just something like wearing some kind of leather mask underneath a hood that you can take on and off would be amazing, i know that would maybe take a lot of work and maybe be unnecessary. But it would be cool.
I love simple armors with many details instead of Spikes everywhere and shoulder plates that can reach the sky and would completely disturb the wearers field of view.
And for the love of God please no boobplate armors. I'm so sick of these they make no sense and look ridiculous!
Ok, let's start with eso. I game a talk a lot of shiet about, but I like what they did with appearance customisation (expect that it became too ez.).
I feel very sad for the animators of that game. The devs completelly butchered all combat animations due to the glitchy animation cancelling feature.
They did such a good job with animations and art style for the Dragonknight class. Everything from the way whip works, to their signature ult DK leap and wings. You can critique ZOS on a lot of things but they did a really good job with this and Necromancers.

I have posted these before in other similar threads, but yay finally an official thread to add them too, brill!
In my opinion Aion & Lineage 2 have some of the best looking armours around, both for plate and cloth/robe armours. Below are a few examples of my favourites from these games.
And please let there be a bit of physics on the long cloth armors ! So that it moves naturally around the legs when they walk and actually looks like a robe/dress ><
Warhammer has one of the best elven armors too, especially in TW2!
Warhamer does have a lot of good Amor pieces.
Most of the picures i see in the thread and on dircord are something that could be used as a skin but not as some basic low level amor.
Ah Goblin Slayer.
Even without the helmet the Amor Screams usefullness.
Leather set for easy movement and blocking arrows.
Plates covering the vital parts.

I REALLY loved ESO's armor crafting. I could craft any set piece I wanted with a particular look. I admit it made for some headaches when taking orders because of all the variables but.......
I also think that one of the things WAR got right was the look of each race and their equipment.
I Could show a Skin here, but I Just want to point that my favorite Outfit was an In-Game Side Quest Reward Set, and how that sometimes are amazing.
Red Sun Leather Set from ArcheAge - No Skin, just a entire SET acquired In-Game doing some Side Quest Missions.
Same SET, but without the Red Scarf since that Fish in my back is a "Pack" and took the place
of the Back Parts of the SET, also with a Swim Fins equipped instead.
Not an MMO but the style in AoC reminds me a lot of Dragon Age: Inquisition. I loooooved the textures of those armors, the ability to craft different colors / textures. I think looking to DAI for inspiration would still be very useful!
Amuli Armor from the old old game Asherons Call that i started to play 1999 (RIP)
All stats, colors etc was rng when it dropped from mobs, loved it.
For the graphics of Asherons Call, I was always impressed with how good they made the armor look. Also the ability to dye different colors, along with the massive number of different armor types and color schemes, there were some pretty awesome outfits put together.
Also the armor stats of loot generated armor had a fairly nice RNG aspect. As much as I hated spending 1000s of hours hunting to find the "perfect" drop, there were less than perfect versions that did well enough.
I played a lot of MMO's, and to this day I really loved AION's armor set designs from a Fantasy standpoint. I only wished I could use light armor or heavy at times for how nice they looked.
This one below was a leather armor I used to use for the longest time from a dungeon I had it in purple.

Have to love some natured themed armours and from the Chloromancer in RIFT.

I've pasted images of scale mail in other threads previously though.

They most of the time have trousers on beneath those skirts (Give an example if not!) ;D

Aren't we all sinners?
My personal favorites from side 3 so far love them
