In essence if a particularly deadly, corrupted, player seems too much of a challenge I could see a select, few, number of players with the skills to take out the corrupted parties for the right amount of money on behalf of the kingdom/node population.

Will the town or city etc be given a debuff for a short time? Maybe when it comes to the time to siege they are “easier” to siege by giving it some sort of debuff Could be all manner of RP reasons. Ashes PvP is more focused on inanimate PvP objectives rather than persons. Assassinating a Queen or King will not provide much of an advantage or benefit. Kinda unfortunate id want them to lose their title as bad as it sounds but it’s better then completely killing off the player completely which would be most realistic. I think killing a person of power should cause drastic problems for the Provence

Players with enough corruption will get bounties placed on them, and bounty hunters can go after those players to eliminate them for rewards. That sounds like an assassination job to me. So if you want to play an assassin, just become a bounty hunter.

If you are going to assassinate an elected leader you need a plan and there needs to be real risk.

Similar to how there are ways of taking out node services for periods of time. I feel like that fits the "lore" of what assassins are for, they kill the leader to limit the enemy's ability to coordinate. Might be good if there was some kind of gold sink associated with it, similar to the siege system, where the assassin or the person hiring them had to pay for the chance to get these added benefits to killing a leader. If the assassin dies, they lost their chance and they have to pay again if they want another attempt.

They are loot piniatas and can't fight back without attaining even more corruption.
