No dismount when talking to quest givers please! This is a huge annoyance when playing FFXIV, you have to dismount every time you talk to any NPC. Even if no action needs to be taken!

    I do like the idea of this but something to consider is that collision is a thing in AOC, though I do not know if this applies to our mounts as well. If it does then a couple of people standing around a quest give on their mounts could be somewhat annoying.

    Quest specific npc's could be given a much further range to speak to if we want to avoid people hogging the npc space. If I were on a horse, I wouldn't run up to someone in melee range to speak.

    I would hate having to dismount to speak to someone.

    As I said in another post I've only just learned about the game and don't know much about it, but wouldn't it work if they simply turned off collision in cities unless a specific event is going on that would warrant turning collision back on?

    The dismount is to prevent players from 'hiding' the NPC with their mount.

    I feel QoL “improvements” overall have killed the genre from what it was like a couple decades ago ... modern gamers seem to want it all and want it fast ... example there has never been a quest like the coldain prayer shawl from Everquest since ... it’s a shame really
