QOTD: what role will YOU play in a pvp fight?

curious to see what role people will play in a group vs group fight
lets just say open world 6v6 just to set a scenario

I'm planning on having lots of different characters, so it would depend on which I was logged in as.

But, if I was to choose one, just to answer the question, I'd want to be the CC'er who annoys the hell out of the enemy. Interrupts, knockdowns, stuns, etc.

Depends on what class I end up going with. I plan on being a Summoner (Brood Warden or Necromancer)
Which means, I'll just fling summons into the battle.

However, I tend to naturally gravitate towards a thievery type playstyle, which means I'd sow chaos in the backline by targetting healers.

It wont be as easy to progress and equip lots of characters to be competitive in PvP.

Ill be playing a brawler. Deal as much dmg as I can to the enemy dmg dealers and try to stay alive for as long as I can.

I'm planning on playing for a while. Let's say it takes me 3 months to max a character - that's four maxed in my first year. I don't need it all at once, I'm happy to put the time in.

1. The sneaky dirty ranger or mage that deals dps / cc from far far away. Honor died on the beach!

2. The annoying healer running around in the back keeping everyone alive just for the sake of trolling the other team's attackers. If I ever roll a healer again, that is.

Imo, the most annoying healers are the ones that think they are more special than other guild members and keep banging "I am the healer, do as I say or else".

In the main fight I usually tend to disrupt, distract or come from the side to cause chaos. Class doesn't matter much, just influence how the job's done.

Out of the main fight I try to do the objectives people neglect. Watching the rear. Escorting lower levels, support classes or stragglers; doing side quests/objectives; scouting to find the enemy forces and communicating their position and movement.

I'll be the one running around like a headless chicken, trying to hit the cleric, but then switching to the mage, and then back to the cleric. Maybe give a tank a whack or two to show him his place.

I tend to roll mage and a healer. So either one of those depending on what is going on and what is needed by the guild/group at the time.

It's hard. I still have to pick a class. I damn sure am not playing healer again. I have spent too much time being pocket heals for friends in PvP.

In large encounters, the flanker who breaks the lines to support the main force.

In small groups, the one who teleports out of range of melee classes yet targets the back lines.

Basically, a Summoner with a Mage augment with the teleportation school. (I'm hoping that you can switch spots with summons).

None. Even in battlegrounds, I would mostly ignore the combat and focus on the objectives.

Depends on if killing takes the player in question out of the equation for more than a few seconds. If that is the case -- since i mostly play summoners and dot specialists -- I would make sure as many as possible are hurt as severely as possible, letting the frontliners or my pets clean up.

If it is objective based with short respawn timers and short ways to the battlefield, I would rather go for the objective, since killing is a time factor and the objective is the way to win then, not kills.

Up in your face tank with HOPEFULLY a massive amount of crowd control capabilities. I want to be able to disrupt their front line while also protecting my healers/ranged when needed.
