Sounds similar to how AA's mounts work. Only thing i'm a little curious about is if there will be any limitations around it. Will you be able to have as many mounts on you at want at one time or will it be limited in some way? I kind of like the idea of it being limited in some way, like you can only have one mount equipped at a time and you can only equip mounts at a stables or warehouse.

I didn't watch the stream, but there is ways to lose your mount? Like they die ir can be drop when you die? Or they are permanent

Not really expecting a "world" boss to go overboard with mechanics. I know, this is the siege event that is technically instanced. It seems like a tuning pass hasn't really been done as they made it sound like the bosses have just recently been designed / created.

Because for the Forest Dragon and the Ice Dragon it mostly seemed to come down to: DPS it and dodge puddles. And the Forest one died in under 5 minutes. The Fire Dragon did seem to have more interesting mechanics to avoid wipes.

They'll die in combat and after a cooldown period you'll be able to summon them again. Some Royal mounts however, once you mount them for the first time, they'll have something like a 45 day lifespan before they're good and gone and you have to somehow achieve them again.

As someone who likes the idea of being a mercenary to escort caravans, that last tidbit seems very intriguing. In the event that no NPC mercs are allotted for by the castle ruler, I could see a revolt happening, and mercenary guilds joining in the defense of the castle so as to preserve the demand for their services.

Why are there dragons in front of a castle waiting to be destroyed? I don't know...maybe because this is their game and they can place their dragons wherever they want? haha. For real though......put every dragon in an old cave filled with mountains of gold or else this game is going to feel like League....and that dude doesn't like that.

This game has me more excited than any other game to have ever been released so I try to speak passionately while also squashing some of the BS we are forced to read from some people on these forums. Opinions are great but opinions that lead towards the shit MMOs we have today are not acceptable imo. My biggest fear is that this MMO will eventually come out but will be too late for the type of people in the community. Looking back at vanilla wow, there was never an issue with people whining about things. We explored a vast new world, made friends, min/maxed a pretty bad ass system and overall had such an amazing experience that it paved the way for it's own success while Blizzard decayed itself from the inside. With AoC bringing back so much of what a great mmo should be, it would be very terrible to have it ruined by a community that does nothing but complain until things get nerfed or added. "QOL" updates turning into flying mounts for everyone, fast travel all over, removing the cosmetic shop because Joe Blow doesn't know my cosmetic covered Emu came from a mysterious land far far away.
