Im a solo player but i still love this game

very good overall love the combat great graphics when they werent glitching out but solo play is pretty rough i have anxiety so i dont do good in groups would love if solo play was viable (kinda is) made it to level 10 in 3 days and i didnt like how when others pulled mobs they would attack me after they deaggroed the other player lost about 200 glint that way we werent even in a party then he looted me and i wish there was spots on the maps to tell where copper zinc iron and other mats are even the herblore one and tree cutting just a general area would be nice i asked in chat and everyone ignored me i felt like i couldnt test the game systems that much if i couldnt find copper over 3 days of playing i think i've found copper maybe 7-9 times felt so behind i feel like resources should be doubled just so people can test the game properly

wont let me edit just wanna say keep up the good work ashes team i didnt wanna stop playing the game over the week end it sucked me in it might be an alpha but the game is already really fun

I did a good amount of solo leveling last weekend after the nerf.

It's pretty good. I wish there were more/better grind spots. Mob density can also be a major pain point.
I kept looking for a spot where the XP to effort felt good and I would not have to wait for respawns.

I know once the dynamic aspects of nodes come online the solo grind options will get better.

Steven said the Solo play experience is as bad as it ever will be currently. So that is good news.

Honestly I feel it's too difficult to a solo player to enjoy the game as much as people in groups, and that's a huge issue, now of course it's ok but later on when most players are high level there won't be groups for the later players that join the game, it's too difficult now and much less rewarding... There are a huge margin of solo players that enjoy playing the game by themselves, we are also a big part of the community, so we need some changes regarding solo playing it

(Please don't reply saying for us to play a single player game, we are playing ashes because we like the features, the world etc, it's stupidity to think if someone wants to play solo he shouldn't play a mmorpg)

Also even If I decide to group up sometime to do something in the game like a dungeon, doesn't mean that I will want to always group up to grind or do other things, there are moments that we just want to do things by ourselves or sometimes our friends are not online so we got to do things by ourselves

no, steven on record this isn't catered to solo gameplay.

I think a lot of feedback has been provided by players feeling resource spawns need to be increased so make certain to add your feedback under a feedback/bug/issue channel so it does not go unnoticed.

Having some solo friendly content is inevitable. If you gather alone you will need to deal with mobs. Gathering is a huge portion of the game. Group content is good, solo content is good. Group and solo content is exponentially better. Obviously the siege aspect and the caravans should be group only. It's obvious that solo content will be necessary for certain adventurers. I want to solo and group when I start missing working with people or if it's a node war, castle siege, etc.

I keep running into the issue of people refusing to group up. There will be like 5-6 people running around and none are grouped. We could pull more, faster, and safer and all 6 of us will get xp (maybe reduced, but much more consistent with who gets the tap)

Or even where a group that is clearly a group only has like 4-5 players but then for some reason refuses to invite more players. Whytho?

our MMO brains have been smoothed by a decade of trimmed solo content in a microwave ready MMO package meal for 1.

the first 5 lvls are pretty self reliant I haven't got passed lvl 10 but I can only guess group content will make up the majority of high level play.

However not everyone has hours to sink into a game per day and form groups...So some solo friendly content is expected too.

game will fail big time if there is no solo content ingame..

It seems that the Cleric seems the best class for solo play.

Yeah the cleric is really strong right now. Best sustain by far of any solo class. You can even solo starred enemies.

I even encountered a Bug and reported it. When i chop Tree's for wood -> when they fall they SOMETIMES change in their coding(?) to Winter Graphics. Suddenly -> there is "Snow" on the Leafes when the Tree's fall down.
