game crashing after 5 seconds of black screen

installed new update today. hit 'Launch game' -> anti-cheat screen -> black screen ... 5 seconds -> game crashed, back to home screen.
was able to play every weekend before that.

Same here on my wife's client. I tried reinstalling the Nvidia drivers. Repair and reinstall options. Rebooted her PC as well. Also did a clean install on the drivers. She has a 3060 or 3070.

There's something wrong with the easy anti cheat software. With your common problems website I tried clicking the install.bat. that didn't help. So I tried using the anti cheat setup to remove anti cheat and reinstall it. But it doesn't launch anything so I can't remove it. We're stuck at this point and we can't play

I tried uninstalling the game. And reinstall right from the launcher on so that it would give a fresh install for the anti cheat software. The anti cheat software folder went away everything was uninstalled. I did a fresh install for everything and it still will not launch past the aunti cheat software. Black screen game crash

Did full scan and MS malware removal tool. Nada. Still can launch the game

The steps below fixed this for me

1.Go to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

2. Download latest C++ Redistributable Version

3. Repair and restart pc.

4. Done

As @nanfoodle suggested, there may be a fix with the Windows redistributable
