Movement using keyboard turns

I have a friend who tried out Ashes of Creation and he is a keyboard turner. He noticed something interesting. He switched his turn keys to "A" and "D" whilst running and sprinting. The turning is no problem; it feels a little slow but not that big of a deal. Whilst standing still it is extremely slow and very hard to move. When in combat it feels terrible. I personally don't keyboard turn and don't have this problem but for other players that do might have an issue. Before people have issues with this post, I just want this game to be as welcoming as possible. I wonder if they could add an option of "Turning speed" or just up the speed in general. I compared the spinning in WoW classic to AOC Alpha Phase 2. It seems like wow has a spin rate of twice the speed whilst standing still.

Older post but that is exactly what I was looking up.. how to turn faster. It's painfully slow.
