Roads & Travel Time

Travel time currently is too long and roads don't matter, but should! My solution involves roads.
- Make roads give a ramping speed bonus to players and caravans that slowly increases move speed over a long period of time- let it build slow and ramp high.
- When players take damage, they lose the speed boost, when caravans take damage, they stop completely.
This would allow for faster travel along normal, centralized routes, encouraging emergent gameplay by highly incentivizing players to use the roads.

I have another idea. Travel time be better if it was increased by what? 20-30% shorter? Just raise all the base mounts speed by that percentage. In Riverlands one end to the other is too long IMO as well. Travel to the desert is unacceptable. My wife and I are casual. So when we jump on to play for 1-2hrs. It sucks when 1/2 that is travel time. IMO 30% speed increase would make it playable and closer to fun.

Imagine the greatness of the world when the other 90% gets added and there is no teleporting all over the place.
Will be good to see a world that actually matters again.

They did because of the corrupt's state workers wouldn't repair the roads of the imperium.
