Drop "rates"?????

This post is out of pure frustration.

I am currently level 20 and grinded the monuments since level 8. Started at highwaymen, went to seph, steel bloom and now on carp... I have seen a total of MAYBE 13 armor/gear drops in the 100+ hours of mob grinding .. I am still in half vendored half donated by my lower level friends gear... I genuinely feel like my account is bugged. I'll grind 3-4 hours to see a drop that's not runes... I'll get off for 2 hours and my friends will get 10+ drops... we are all around the same level.. to furthermore add to this, I have some irl friends that started a few days late and are around level 15 now.. they took the EXACT same leveling route I did and have multiple sets of blue items... my group I been grinding with is almost entirely the same level (19-21 range) and they can only get drops when I'm not online. My only blue items are a growler helm, boots, and necklace.. and they were all donated to me by my friend because he had multiple at lvl 13... today I met a level 14 fighter and he had a heroic growler helm, heroic boots, and everything else was blue... the system makes ZERO sense to me.. the odds of being that "unlucky" are almost mathematically impossible. I am at the point where I feel like I have to start a new account because the only reason I can do higher end content is because my friends half my level have hand-me-downs for me .. I just want to clarify... I'm not losing rolls for items.. we are just getting zero drops other than runes. The ONLY Piece of gear I have that I genuinely seen drop was my Sanctus longbow.. (and my tank need rolled won and gave it to me)

Same experience (playing only sometimes and soloing reeeeal slow). Started a cleric, had plenty of gear drops from goblins. Started a mage: hardly any gear drops, and last 5 levels none whatsoever. Glint, droppings, runes, every now and then some bones. Gear: nope.

Drop rates for low rarity gear could be improved, the design has always been you are supposed to get your gear from crafting.... however crafting needs a LOT of work.

I think crafting still needs a long ways to go, especially as you are leveling up the first time. Twink gear works out pretty well. But best gear for your first char needs work still yet.

Expect this to change a lot over time, many crafting items right now simply don't even work and were copy/pasted from other crafts. Much less everything balanced correctly for what materials it uses.

What really needs to change at the moment is farmed boss mats that go into the craft. This type of system needs a lot more work. It's fine that they get contested but I think they need some other way for this to happen. Camping spawn timers is never a fun experience, and bosses should really just be random in dungeons that need groups, and not solo farmed in my opinion. If they are just an easy solo farm boss I question why they even need a "boss" material.

Many more problems with gathering (hunting rarity) and many other issues with recipes, and overall just how the processing fits together I think need so much work.

The last issue is that, I believe because of the underdeveloped crafting system, they added in world boss drops. But world bosses also have huge problems with zerg guilds just getting them at server reset. A horrible system as well. They need some kind of ticket/credit system, and this gear needs to be tuned back and crafted gear tuned up.

Gear is at such a very bad state in the game, I expect it will improve a lot in the future, but looks as if it's going to take a ton of time.

Yes. It's not like 2017 to 2025 is not a whole development cycle for some AAA games. It's not like anyone knows I gave £1,000,000,000 for the project and still the project is as hollow as a tin pot shoe.

There are definitely some changes/cutbacks that may affect your interest/perception of the game (best of luck to all Devs, this isn't meant to imply things are gonna turn out bad, but there are some 'lost things' that might have been important to some).

I think it's a problem when you can team for 19 lvls and only get two pieces of gear that have stats on it you need. When I dinged 19 my Bard had only two items with int on them from drops. I spent most of my time in dungeons as well.
