We are going to need gear rebalance after all those stat squishes

In no build, or reality it makes sense to equip gear like this if you consider other options. Few examples:

A lot of stats on gear in game makes no sense, and don't provide a meaningful benefit.

Another questionable level 20 item, 3% Crit Power, TWELVE health and 1 accuracy rating. Just for perspective, default crit power is 150% and average char has 4000 HP at level 25. This is a vendor trash item before you even pick it up.

There changing enchanting at some point as of like last week they said they looking into enchanting just gotta wait till they figure out the way they want to do to fix it.

How enchanting works with flat increases makes basicly every stat obsolete atm appart from base stats

i would say we might see something in like 2-3 weeks i would think

its okay for gear to exist that does not typically benefit players... believe it or not, some players dont just spawn in fully geared.. and SOMETIMES bad gear is still an upgrade for them..

edit to add, we dont even have the item deconstruction option yet. which on wiki says *Specific and necessary crafting materials for higher tier items can only be obtained through the deconstruction of lower-tier items. This is designed to keep lower tier crafted gear relevant through progression and across expansions*

so even junk gear can hold value. not everything needs to be an upgrade

If bad gear is an upgrade to some players - just imagine how much of an upgrade good gear would be.

Saying bad gear is OK because even worse gear exists is nit a good defense of that bad gear. The bad gear shouldn't exist, you deserve to upgrade to good gear.

the point i was saying is that not all gear needs to be best in slot and its ok for us to have a variety of options even if its not your optimal build. theres no reason to re-work all the gear just because its useless to one person, as OP is trying to say. ok so what a ring only has mana on it as common? glint doesnt come with bonus perks? its just gold at the end of the day just like that ring. but that ring also has a chance to fill a slot a player didint have filled.

Obviously not.

However, all gear should serve a valid purpose, and be actually good.

The gear above is not good, no one should equip it, and if you have worse gear on than any of the above, that gear also shouldn't exist.

It isn't that it is useless to one person, it is that it is useless to everyone - or should be useless to everyone.

Gear needs to have intent behind it and be placed into a value matrix. I dont understand why that would be a contentious take.
If outlier gear exists it will be avoided like the plague or used as frequently as possible. If either of these are happening hopefully its a result of dev intent.
