This post is made to compare driving caravans to other games that use similar systems of goods transport and mounting vehicles.
my focus will AoC Caravans vs Last Oasis Walkers, because that to me is one of the most enjoyable driving experience in a pvp game and both systems are used for similar uses; moving goods, hunting/creating pvp events.
Intrepids current implemented caravan system is currently, autowalk and play content on 2nd monitor. i do not find it fun. (yes the system is designed to create risk and pvp events, thats the intended content but it should mean i sit bored with nothing happening.
my problem is the caravan has no dynamic features to it. you direct the horse who gets stuck on the smallest of hills or bumps for no reason and the caravan is dragged along for the ride. its sad the most exciting thing a cravan can do if drift a little to the side on a steep hill.
insert last oasis walkers; they can flip if you for up a hill too steep, they spin out if you turn to sharp and fast, lift off if go too fast over bump or hill, powerslide down hills, torque mechanics that speed up downhill and slow uphill, collisions with trees causes them to bounce and ricochet
I'll insert a youtube link if possible to show a decent example of the dynamic driving on walkers i would love you see implemented into caravans
if link does not work this if the yt watch code
