Wide/Ultrawide Support

Devs, I've been gone for a few months and I just checked back in to play the fresh starts and see the new stuff/offer feedback. Biggest gripe still exists: wide and ultrawide are still implemented wrong. There was another post somewhere which goes into more detail. Basically ultra wide clips the top and bottom of the screen off and just stretches the X-axis. It looks terrible and has this awkward fisheye effect. Please fix your support for these devices.

Keep in mind, there are more gamers (not necessarily in this game, just in general) that use 800 x 1280 than there are that use 5120 x 1440.
5120 x 1440 is only used by 0.13% of gamers according to the Steam Hardware Survey - it really should be a low priority.
Oddly enough though, I experimented with doing 2560x1440 (I think that's it) so I could have proper look of the game. I adjusted settings and was playing with everything overlooking lionhold and playing with half a screen being used had the same fps as playing ultra wide. I'd think half the pixels would mean my fps would go up, but nope.
We can't do that at the moment however since we don't get those cfg files with the Ashes installation process as it currently is.
What I find funny is that the character selection screen is functioning as intended on 21:9 and 32:9 screens.
You can not go steam survey in this matter. Think about who your target audience is. Its guys in their 30+ which have a good amount of money to invest in their equipment. I can guarantee that the number will be much higher.
That is why I said that the numbers are not necessarily for this game, but for gamers in general.
Basically, I already covered what you are talking about.
Even if the percentage of players with ultra wide-screen is 10 times the general gamer population, that is still less than 1.5%.
Intrepid will have the numbers for this for Ashes. They will use those numbers to make their decision (the decision on when to implement this, not if to implement it). I am simply pointing out that this number is going to be very low and so it will be a low priority.
