Female Expression In AoC

As a Female MMO gamer I would like to suggest giving more effeminate options in armor styles. My concern is that I would like to have the option for dressing effeminately. The reason I am suggesting to make it optional is so people can dress as feminine or masculine or neutral as the player choses. This aids players self expression. Different armor styles as well as jewelry and makeup would be very helpful in this goal. I understand that you would like to keep things on the more practical side but this could be stifling to the communities creativity. Self expression and fashion is very important to me as a player I would like as many options as possible in creating my character.

With the variety of tattoos available in Ashes, in addition to boob windows, I now want thigh windows and calf windows and back windows and shoulder windows...anything that will allow me to show off my body tattoos instead of having them completely covered by armor.

I completely agree with the OP on this subject. Personally, I am a "girly girl" when it comes to cosmetic expression, both in games and in real life, so it's important to me to have this option in the game. Too many people automatically equate feminine with skimpy, you don't have to make "bikini" armor for it to be feminine, you can have heavy/plated armor that is still form fitting and doesn't hide/mask the silhouette while still having total coverage.

Light/Cloth "armor" doesn't really provide "practical" protection anyway, so you can easily have the more revealing options in this category, and to a lesser extent the medium/leather category. In the end, this is a fantasy video game so it is important to strike a good balance, without totally losing yourself in "function over form, practical over impractical" all the time.

the "bag on head" is not a nice way to defend right to have liberty of outfit. (and again, we are not speaking about "slutmogs" ...)

Most games are doing "full armor" to men, and... while i would stuff any male character this way personally. i also HATE this.
I mean, "say me name of strong powerfull male warrior in fantasy stories" You could say lancelot sure, with full plate armor, aragorn, in medium/light armor or Conan, with just enough to hide his intimacy... Because he doesnt need, his adamant muscles are enough to block any sword.

For this i defend, here, some sexy (NOT SLUTTY) armor for female, even if "unrealist"... While i hope the same goes for male, with a "conan the barbarian" mindset...

Yes, heeled boots were used in combat by Persian soldiers in the Samanid Empire (874-1005). The boots helped soldiers keep their feet in the stirrups and gave them the stability to shoot bows and arrows.

There some other cases aswell but yes they were utilised in combat by several factions in the past so it does make sense that they do exsist aslong as the height is in reason

you also got to take into account AoC isnt soley about combat aswell so you do need some equipment that portrays things outside of combat elements for players and RP reason and so on so again another reason for them to exists, i dont think they should particular be prevelant in heavy armor though of course like i said leather and light armor they work aslong as there not to an extream height.

Also heels were often used by commanders too in the past since at some stage have heels on your shoes/boots was a status symbol so yeah no reason not to include them within reason.

then you also have the whole fantasy element too of the game aswell so you gotta stretch things slightly

not to mention people wear the most impractical things at times for status like the schlong armor above in the above video to demestrastes big metal dick plate was the way to go at times dispite its impracticality

Something that literally damages the body is not something anyone should be trying to add as something 'attractive', 'cool', or 'sexy'. It stupid as all hell even if they were used as weaponry, which I highly doubt was common, and two, still doesn't make them not a physically harmful thing to put on footwear.

I really think its far too early to fully judge the character/gear design of the game, there are barely any choices and many of the races are not even implemented. As it sits now I agree and yea basically everything looks pretty similar not just female characters. But i am confident that will change drastically in the future, I am currently more worried about bugs and stability, and core balance issues with the archetypes, node systems, and crafting.

unless there is 2 distinguish sets and by that i mean be it armor set (which has stats) and cloth set (as of like in gw2 or bg3, where you can use (NOT ARMOR) city/camp outfits to rp - with no stats), a bikini armor set/armor outfit ye no ty (pls dont, example tl - gladiator outfit - male one looks amazing wont say exactly accurate but close by, meanwhile female one just pretty much a modern bikini (~a tsunami/ocean of disappointment~)), also spare me the catwalking and the unreal cleavage plate armor.

I do say it seems that after all it might not be the game you (and the rest complaining) were looking for then, i mean there is other games coming, like new korean mmos, surely more your type of game (and obviously of the rest complaining); you see im not looking for a korean mmo hence why im here, most of you complaining its very clear that is indeed what yall are looking for, and aoc is not a korean mmo, never have been from the start, yet strangely is something most of you fail to acknowledge (constantly complaining like broken records (about how females (in game ofc, i gotta make this clear 🤣) just exist...(but not according to your ideology/personal standards that is)) therefor pretty much demanding and trying to force/bend intrepid so to change in that way and do your will).
