Why?: I think ambient sounds are very important. One thing I like to do in games to make the world more immersive is bump the environment audio slider to max and the music slightly lower. Hearing footsteps, birds, water, wind, different sounds for different terrains clearly is a massive boost to immersion. Often the music overshadows it in games, so the ability to adjust this allows me, as a player, to be able to appreciate the sound design that goes into the environment.
I did this for WoW long ago and found a totally new gameplay experience. It's incredible the things you don't hear when the music is on full blast or when other sfx overshadow them.
One issue I've had, and I've mentioned this on the forums before, is that at certain times of the day the world gets very white washed and bright in certain locations when the camera is pointing in the direction of the light source. I had this issue a lot in the tropics. It makes it really hard to spot mobs in dense locations. Being on an OLED, it also really bothers my eyes when I'm blasted with bright white light for a long period of time.
An active list of such settings may be a worthwhile thing for someone less ambivalent than myself to maintain. I would even consider asking @Vaknar if they would consider stickying a topic on this if someone were to create and maintain it - should he consider it of use.
Mouse sensitivity is something we have on the list, among many other QoL changes. Many QoL changes, and settings or UI adjustments, will be added over time during Alpha Two
